Dalrymple - The engagement is announced  between Major Hugo Codrington,  Coldstream Guards, elder son of Mr and Mrs Stephen Codrington, of Brightwalton, Berkshire, and Louisa, daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Dalrymple, of Gifford, East Lothian.

Hugo C (b 19_) s of Stephen Mark (b 1957), scion of the gentry family of that name of Wroughton House by his 1984 m (reg Q4 Warwickshire) to Ursula J d of Gerald DAWSON of Ilmington, Warwickshire. They had another son: Rory Alexander (b 1992 reg Q3 Oxfordshire) and two daus, Kate Elizabeth (b 1986 reg Q2 Oxfordshire) and Tessa Victoria (b 1990 reg Q3 Oxfordshire).

From the Telegraph of 31 July 2020: Major H.C. Codrington and Miss L.A.C. Dalrymple - The marriage took place on July 25, 2020, in the garden at Quarryford House, Gifford,  between Hugo Codrington and Louisa Dalrymple.

The new Mrs Codrington, née Louisa Alice Clare Dalrymple, is a granddaughter of Major Hon Colin James Dalrymple (19 II 1920 - 12 I 2017), the youngest son of the 12th Earl of Stair, whose eldest son, John Aymer Dalrymple, 13th Earl of Stair (9 X 1906 - 27 II 1996), was married to Davina Katherine Bowes-Lyon (2 V 1930 - 1 XI 2017), a first cousin of HM The Queen.
