He was s of Maj Hon John HAMILTON-RUSSELL 1911-43 (s of 9th Viscount BOYNE 1864-1942) and Lady Diana LEGGE 1910-70 d of 7th Earl of DARTMOUTH 1881-1958 and gd of 1st and only Marquess of LINCOLNSHIRE 1843-1928, etc. He m 1965 Alison Mary 1941-2022 d of Lt-Col Sydney Haydn HEARD MBE CStJ 1911-89 and Phyllis Mary 1915-84 d of George Frederick BABER 1860-1930 and Rosamund _ 1877-1971, and had twin sons and a dau (Julia Mary, Mme Jaques, 1967-2024).
