Following on the brief comments in the Debrett's 2019 corrections thread which is long and difficult to search, I thought the best thing to do would be to setup a new thread for corrections.  It can be closed every so often (maybe every 50 posts?) to make searching easier.  I think more recent deaths, i.e. those in 2018 or later, should be continued to be noted in their own threads, but I personally do like older corrections to be grouped together.

My first post:

MOLESWORTH viscounts
Stephen Lindsay MOLESWORTH (descended from 3rd brother of 7th Viscount), born 1925, died 2009. From the GRO indices:

MOLESWORTH, STEPHEN  LINDSAY     YoB 1925
GRO Reference:  DOR  Q3/2009 in CAMDEN  (2501B)  Reg 1B005  Entry Number 502094424

MOLESWORTH Viscounts - thepeerage.com gives Stephen Lindsay Molesworth's date of death as 28 August 2009 citing unithistories.com.  DPB says he was wounded in WW2 and mentioned in despatches

DE MAULEY Barons

I offer this rather tentatively as it requires further evidence/corroboration
Mary Veronica BARNES nee PONSONBY b 1927, dau of Rev Maurice George Jesser PONSONBY MC (1880-1943) descended from 5th son of 2nd Baron, and (m 1918 Lady Phyllis Sydney BUXTON (d 1942) dau of the 1st Earl Buxton
She may have died 12 September 2018 as there is a probate record for a lady of this name

I think this is correct - with any "common" name, it is worth checking the GRO as it gives the Year of Birth:

From the GRO indices:
BARNES, MARY  VERONICA       YoB 1927
GRO Reference:
DOR  Q3/2018 in CAMDEN  (250-1A)  Entry Number 517888764

Camden is the correct location as this matches the NW5 address listed in Debrett's 2008 for her.

DUNMORE E - Julia Fannie MACKINTOSH nee MURRAY b 1924 d 2013 -  Julia Mackintosh Obituary (2013) - Raleigh, NC - The News & Observer (legacy.com)

Julia M, Mackintosh
November 29, 1924 - August 24, 2013
Raleigh [North Carolina]
Julia Murray Mackintosh, 88, died peacefully August 24, 2013 in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by her family. Julia grew up in New York City and Garrison, NY. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College, and earned a Master's degree in Architecture from Harvard University. Julia and Robert, her husband of 60 years, raised their three daughters in Grenada, West Indies, with summers in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. In Grenada, Julia helped found the Westmorland School and taught biology, science, music, French, and math – there and at the Anglican High School. She particularly loved teaching biology, and was honored to hear from former students who credited her with sparking their lifelong interest in science.
On moving to Aiken, SC in 1975, Julia and Robert founded Woodlanders Nursery, a mail-order nursery that gained international recognition as one of the first to focus on the diversity of plants that thrive in the Southeastern US.
Julia and Robert 'retired' to Raleigh, NC in 1997, purchasing a house surrounded by a native plants garden (the Margaret Reid Wild Flower Garden). In retirement Julia pursued her interests in painting, natural science, conservation, gardening, walking in the woods, travel, and activities with daughters' families. She painted at Sertoma Art Center, the Fine Arts League of Cary, and the Cape Ann Artists Guild. Active members of conservation and gardening organizations, Julia and Robert shared their knowledge and love of plants with many. Julia volunteered with the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and with Robert taught an Encore class on local wild flowers. She lured many of her friends from her art and other interest circles to enjoy and volunteer at the Reid Garden.
Julia considered her family her greatest accomplishment in life. She is survived by her husband, Robert Mackintosh of Raleigh; her daughters, Amy Mackintosh (Thomas Kagan); Louisa Mackintosh (Tony Ciaramitaro); and Susan Mackintosh (Luuk V. Van Zanten); her brother, Michael Murray (Eliane); and grandchildren, Julia and Carmen V. Van Zanten, Ian and Luke Henneberger, and Lucy and Triona Kagan.

She was the dau of Cecil Dunmore MURRAY (1897-1935), descended from the 2nd son of the 4th Earl, and (m 1921) Veronica FRAZIER (d 1988)

NIGHTINGALE baronets
Debrett's database gives a possible line of collaterals:
Descendants, if any, of late Charles Ethelstan Nightingale (b 1858, d post 1890), 5th son of late George Lacy Nightingale, of USA, 5th son of 11th baronet.

In fact Charles died 27 August 1926, leaving no legitimate issue. See:
Second link direct to death certificate - he is listed as single at death.

EDEN Bt (1672/1776) - Margaret Anne KIRKBRIDE nee EDEN b 1929 dau of Sq Ldr Gerald Balfour EDEN and Anne nee Macey.  Not entirely sure about this but a probate search reveals the death of a lady of this name on 22 May 2020.  GRO confirms her YOB 1929 but death was registered in Buckinghamshire whereas DPB2019 gives an address in Alnwick, Northumberland.

According to http://www.thepeerage.com/p39582.htm#i395816, Mrs Kirkbride's son was living in Amersham in Buckinghamshire in 2003, so it seems possible that Colin has correctly identified her, and that she may have been residing with her son when she died.

ELLENBOROUGH B - Margaret Augusta Eleanor BENNETT formerly SIMON-SYMONS nee LAW b 1918 d 2006

MARGARET (PEGGY) AUSGUSTA BENNETT
Peggy Bennett (nee Law) passed away on Oct 21, 2006, after a short illness in her 89th year. Peggy was predeceased by her husbands, Major Dennis Simon-Symons (1969) and O. B. (Tony) Bennett. She is survived by her children, Venetia and her husband, Edward Moorhouse and James Ivor and his wife Trish Symons, and her Grand children Sonya, Simon, Timothy and Ian. During her last 8 years she became the Great Grand Mother of Oliver, Julia and Charlotte Conn and Abigail Moorhouse. Peggy was born in Toronto, but lived her early years in Europe. She returned to Ottawa in 1948 and later worked at the National Gallery of Canada. Peggy was a amazing person; she always remained a beautiful and stylish woman with panache yet with no pretensions. In her last 40 years she held court in her little houses in London England, aboard the Yacht Pellee and later in centre-town Ottawa. Over her long life, she loved her animals, Sam, Tux, Tibor, Pico and her pussy cats. Like everybody else, Peggy's life had its ups and downs and she dealt with each obstacle with her philosophy of `Oh Poof' and went on her way with dignity and decorum. Within her sphere, life was never dull!! We remember the good times and we will miss her.....

Published by The Globe and Mail on Nov. 18, 2006.

She was the dau of John Crawford LAW (1876-1919), descended from the 5th son of the 1st Baron, and (m 1917) Eleanor Agnes Letitia KINGSFORD.  DPB does not record the marriages of her children or their issue

PLATT baronets & Baron PLATT (for life)
I offer this tentatively - corroboration would be useful, but I think the evidence points to this being the correct person

Sylvia Jean PLATT, Baroness PLATT, widow of Life Baron and 1st Baronet
I think she died 11 October 2015
Above page shows a musician of that name, living 11 February 1930 - 10 October 2015.  Lady Platt's postnominal in DB 2008 is ARCM (Associate of the Royal College of Music), which matches.
I checked for her birth (under Sylvia Jean CAVELEY) - only one person of this name, and she was born Q1 1930, which again matches.

A number of deaths not known to Debrett's database - I have built on Colin's post (here), but this is not reflected on the database either.

As reported by Colin:
Richard John MAKGILL, born 1926, died 18 Sept 2016 (descended from 10th Bt)
MAKGILL, Richard John (Dick). Passed away at Tauranga Hospital on 18th September 2016. Aged 90 years young. Dearly loved husband of the late Marjorie. Loved father and father in law of Janet and Trevor Coleman, Alan and the late Yvonne Russell, Stuart and Natalie Makgill, and the late Roy Makgill. Loved ?'Grandad Dick?' of Matthew, Michael, Mark, Adam, Megan, Andrew, Steven, Rebecca, and great grandad of Summer, Poppy, Ethan, and Loki. According to Dick?'s wishes a ?'no nonsense, easy peasy?' private cremation has been held.

Clear from this that some other deaths not reported:
Marjorie Ann MAKGILL (nee JAMIESON), wife of above, died 23 July 2011
Passed away after a long illness at Waipuna Hospice on 23rd July 2011, with her family. Aged 83 years.  Dearly loved wife and soul mate of Dick.  Special Mum and mother in law of Janet and Trevor Coleman, Yvonne and Alan Russell, Stuart and Natalie Makgill, and the late Roy Makgill.  Loved Nana of Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Steven, Mark, Adam, Megan and Rebecca, and Great Nana of Amber, Summer, Poppy and Ethan.  A service for Marjorie will be held at Pyes Pa Memorial Park Chapel, 403 Pyes Pa Road, on Wednesday 27th July at 11am followed by a private cremation.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Waipuna Hospice and can be left at the service.

Yvonne Kathleen RUSSELL (nee MAKGILL), dau of above, died 21 August 2016
RUSSELL, Yvonne Kathleen (nee Makgill). Born June 11, 1954. Passed away peacefully at Tauranga Hospital Sunday 21st August 2016, aged 62 years. A fighter to the end. Dearly loved wife of Alan, cherised mother of Andrew and Steven, loved nana to Summer and Poppy and loved sister of Janet, Stuart and the late Roy, loved aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Beloved daughter of Dick and the late Marj Makgill. Funeral service to be held at Pyes Pa Crematorium 403 Pyes Pa Road Tauranga at 2pm Tuesday 30th August. This last notice clearly establishes that two great grandchildren of Richard & Marjorie (Summer & Poppy) descend from their dau Yvonne.

After significant work in social media I have established that Adam MAKGILL (b 1985), son of Stuart M., m ?2016 Abby NEW and had issue: two sons Ethan (b 2010) and Loki (b 2014).  These sons are probably NOT in remainder.

Marjorie's 2011 death notice leaves us with an additional great grandchild, Amber, who is not listed in the 2016 notice - has she died?
