He was b 17.01.1936, only son of Alfred Edwin Pattie of Hove Sussex, and d 08.10.2024, former Conservative MP (Chertsey and Walton 1974-1997) and Minister, created Kt Bach and Privy Counsellor 1987.  He m 1960 Tuema Caroline b 1938 d of Charles William EYRE-MAUNSELL (1908- ), scion of the Maunsell Irish gentry family (BIFR p 812/2) and (m 1937) Honor Mabel PURSER. [Apologies, the e in Tuema should have an umlaut over it, but can't make my keyboard do that]
