Dear Lora-Kim,
TribuNoah is setting up its fieldstation in a remote location with limited acces to electricity/utilities.
We will have our solar power system set-up soon and be fully operational again next year (2022).
A few pictures are included.
The area seems to have many parrot food trees and various parrot species & flocks.
The attitude of the local population towards the birds is being assessed.
A biodiversity species list is being compiled.
Always seeking funds, volunteers, advice and vetrinary assistance.
The idea is to model a "garden of eden" in the forest but due to limited gas-cilinder distribution, people have resorted
to cutting the trees down for burning/cooking. This ofcourse diminishes the feasibility of the plan.
Greets,
Janice@TribuNoah
Will send the finalized version of our work towards ethical alternatives to parrot culling asap.
