Hi, I just finished upgrading my PandaPlacer to support siplace feeders. Maybe it will inspire someone. Now the machine reaches 800-1200 CPS with vision and 1500-1800 CPS without vision without any problems.

Thank you for sharing!
It looks really good!

I have some questions:
- Which Motion Controller do you use?
- How did you realize the interface to the Siplace feeders mechanically and electrically?
- How did you the OpenPnP configuration to upport the feeders?
- Where can we get these fancy cookie cans?

Best Greets!

I managed to buy about 200 different feeders for $4 each in unknown condition. Most of them worked perfectly, while others had mechanical issues that simply required disassembly and cleaning. Some had damaged electronics. I decided to make my own feeder electronics and controller.

Clemens Koller
-i design uart controller
-own firmware,
-i design all mechanical part, lasercut and bended steel sheets
-standard automatic feeder from open pnp

Mike:
As I mentioned, I made my own electronics for 2x8mm feeders and all wider ones (all wider ones have the same electronics). I'm currently working on electronics for the 3x8 you asked about. They're good for 0201, though I'm not sure if I'll use them. 2x8s support 0402 and larger.

Well DONE !! - but for Open Pnp do you use this kind of GUI ? https://github.com/bilsef/SchultzController/issues/2

In the future I plan to make it into a regular auto feeder.

Nice solution and brillant job of (reverse)engineering an own controller board! And good feeder choice btw...
Has somebody already changed the "Bilsef"-controller firmware to 3-lane support?

...otherwise one feeder would be more expensive than the PandaPlacer itself I guess.

Amazing job!
