i-Nova Cameras and PHD2

Has anybody had experience using i-Nova cameras with PHD2? i-Nova PLC-M is listed as a supported camera. How about other flavors of i-Nova cameras? Do they also work with PHD2 as far as software drivers are concerned?

Victor,

I iNova provides INDI and ASCOM drivers for their cameras. If the camera has an ASCOM driver it will work with PHD2 on Windows. With an INDI driver the camera will work with PHD2 on Mac and Linux.  You would need to get confirmation from iNova that the ASCOM or INDI driver is available for whatever camera you are considering using.

I have too a problem to connect my camera Inova PLB-CX with PHD Guiding 2 , this camera is not in  liste at the beginning in phd2, only camera Inova PLC-M,  i use ascom camera driver 2.3.3.9 and my camera PLB-CX works perfectly on PLXcapture, i use windows xp sp3

Did I understand correctly that the Inova ASCOM driver does not show up in PHD2's camera list even though you have the ASCOM platform and the Inova ASCOM driver installed?  Do you see any ASCOM cameras in the camera list, such as "Camera V2 Simulator (ASCOM)"?  What version of the ASCOM platform are you using?

Hello Andy,

Thank you for your reply. I use the program ASCOM 6.4 SP1 and windows 7 Starter 32 bits. My camera is Inova PLB-CX. In fact I managed to solve the problem by changing the ASCOM Camera Inova driver, I use: I-Inova Camera Driver 2.3.4.0, I select below "On camera" and there I can connect my camera, I did not not against specific driver for PLB-CX as I have for PLX Capture and i cannot to add to the list of PH2 specific drivers. However I have the image of the camera with version 2.3.4.0 Actually I do not have the specific driver PLB-CX in the list of camera driver choices, when I connect I just have two specific camera settings in little windows after connecting camera. Maybe "driver can work on other Inova cameras, the previous version that we do not use functionally on my PLB-CX. Have you resolved your connection issues for your camera? cordially
