Problem installing

Your program looks perfect for what I want to do. I've been using myth
for 5 or 6 years now and love it. Just tried out Boxee on my laptop
the other day and fell in love as well. Now you appear to me to
combine the two. Sweet.

I added your repo and the nightly. First time I started it it failed
on the autodiscovery.
I tried to put in the info manually but it wouldn't connect.
I have no root password on my db. (I kinow it's wrong but.....)

I exited out then when I try to get back in I just get the loading
screen. I never get the config portion again.

Is there a way to reset the config so it prompts me again?

Thanks for any help getting things going.

Ubuntu on my laptop till I figure things out then I'll change my mythfront end running mythbuntu to use boxee instead.

Hrmmm database fails
mythfront end works from this laptop.
Looked at my user permissions for that database and it shows as having
everything for user mythtv from anywhere.

Any ideas?

Not but it might not like the blank password. Can you set up another
mysql user with a password to test with mythboxee?

tried a couple of user id's and then the password from /etc/mythtv/
mysql.txt again and now it ls showing the info below. I guess it has
to load up all of the shows. I have hundreds so this may take a while.
I already did the xml database change recommended in another thread.

Loaded everything up. Wow nice looking interface. Very slick and fast.
Another problem now. I get a blank screen when playing.
Does myth need to be a certain recording profile for boxee to
playback?

Tried smb but I have a couple of drives that get written to and
couldn't figure out how to get it working.
XML is what I'm testing now.

I'll try to get smb working since XML is flakey from what I've seen
you post. I have 2 drives though on different mount points. Is this
possible with MythBoxee?

Never mind. Got a combined fuse share exported in samba now.

Got the fuse combined disk share working. That was easy. Very cool. I
have it exported with samba and I can mount it locally and see the
files.
Setup mythboxee to use the samba share and it does manage to pull down
the thumbnails.

Just noticed this

Found this which is supposed to fix it.

Symlink to where the Boxee will be looking for it:

ln -s /usr/lib/libmpeg2.so.0.0.0 /opt/boxee/system/players/dvdplayer/
libmpeg2-i486-linux.so

It still crashes but I don't have that error anymore.
