Filter tasks due "this calendar wekk" i.e. "before or on next Sunday"

Hi,

is there a way to filter for tasks due "this calendar week" in a view? By that I mean all tasks "due before or on next Sunday". I have a "this week" view with all tasks with goal = "this week" or a due date in this week.

Currently I have not found a better way than setting the concrete date of that Sunday in the filter settings, which I manually have to update every week. What I'm looking for is different from the existing function "today + 6", which I'm aware of.

I have the same requirement for "this month", but the weeks change more often, so this bugs me even more ;)

I'm using MLO for Windows and Android, so I constantly have to update the views on both devices, as the view settings don't sync.

Is there a better i.e. dynamic way to define that filter?

Hello Christoph,

Have you tried defining a filter with Advanced Filter parameters for that? One of the Advanced Filter options is "DueDateTime", which you can set to "this week".

Hi Stéphane and thanks for the response.

This is just what I was trying, but I can't get that to work. It seems "today" is the only dynamic identifier that works in that field. When I enter "this week" for "DueDateTime", I cannot save and close the dialog because this is not an accepted value.

I tried that both on Windows and Android but could not get it to work.

That would be good to be able to specify a date as 1st day of week or 1st of month, then a filter could use that in a range of dates to select

Sorry for the confusion, I never paid attention to that dropdown after I had set it to "on or before" initially. Now I got it and yours and Stéphane's answer make perfect sense.

Just updated the views both on Windows and Android and it works as expected.

Problem solved, and again the feeling that "there has to be a better way to do this in MLO" was right ;)
