Zoom In VS Outline tasks order

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible somehow to have automatically the same order of tasks when I Zoom In to some Folder/Project from the Outline view on Desktop (MLO 5)?

At the moment, when I want to focus on specific project and zoom in from Outline, it will show tasks in a different order - not same as this order was in Outline when I expand tasks for that Folder/Project.

Is there a way?

That's strange. On it's own, zooming in should not change the order of tasks in your view. You're not switching to a different, zoomed-in view which has different sort settings? What are the sorting and grouping settings in the outline view/filter you're using?

I never thought of zooming out by one level - That’s a good idea, probably worth raising as feature request in a discussion thread.

Hello Stevan,

As in our private conversation, I think you could ask for "zoom out by one level" as a feature request for a new button / hotkey. I can see how that would be useful for you.

If you're using zoom a lot, one thing to remember is that filters and views are applied after the zoom. Because of this, if you have a filter which has different rules for top level items and for their children, it will show different results depending on what level you're zoomed in to. To me, that's unintuitive (as discussed on a thread in the beta testing forum), but you'll be fine as long as you're aware of it.

This is an old post but still a relavent one unless I am not using the current MLO version correctly. The "Zoom-in"/"Zoom-out" Buttons on Windows should move one level at a time. If I am zoomed in 2-3 levels and want to zoom out one level it seems less intuitive to zoom out all the way.
