I think the ability to set reminders for views would be a big win.  You could set up a daily schedule and create views to remind you on what to check during the day, or a reminder to do your weekly review every Sunday, etc. The framework is there.

Something like right click on the view and there is a new 'Reminders.. 'menu option. From there you can set a schedule for that view.

Please consider adding to your backlog. Thanks!

Hey, boxingdad. Here's an idea I've been kicking around that might also cover your request.

I'd like to be able to put a link into the NOTES section of a task that would link to a view. There are a few different possibilities for what would happen if you click the link but I think the one I like the best would be spawning a new helper window, just like when you hit f3, but instead of the current view it would contain the view named in the link.

The idea would be that you could set up a bunch of tasks and then link to them. For example, in my morning routine I have a bunch of tasks related to checking my messages: check email, check slack, check signal, check hangouts. I have the same tasks in my midday and end of day routines. If something changes or gets added I have to put it in all three places. If view links existed I would create a view for message_checks, and set up a repeating task that restarts a minute after it's finished with these four message checks as subtasks, and I would put the link into my time-of-day routines. When the task came up, I would click the link, perform and check off each of the checks, then close the window to return to what I was doing.

If this were implemented, then you could create a task with a link and a reminder for each of the situations you are thinking about. For example, you could make a task called "do reviews", link it to a view of tasks ready for review, and set an reminder for Sunday.

What do you think?

Hi Dwight, welcome back, missed you and hope you are doing well!

I support your suggestion. I would also wish to be able to put a link into the notes area to a Workspace.
I find myself switching workspaces more often than switching views.

Wish you all the best!
Andrew

As I pondered this more, this would lay the foundation for a potential dashboard. It would be very cool to create a dashboard feature with the following requirements:
1. Ability to customize a page to hold a set number of views at a defined interval.
2. Views can be scheduled to appear in the dashboard based on date/time, and possibly location.

So when I look at my dashboard in the morning it shows the views I've created and "scheduled' to appear that morning. I then schedule other views to appear at different times throughout the day. So basically a dynamic dashboard. Thanks!
