Can an MLO task fire off external software?

I want an MLO task, when completed, to fire off a snippet of code (I'm thinking Go or PowerShell, but the details are irrelevant).

It occurs to me I could put an executable link into the notes field and manually click on it before completing, but that is inelegant and error-prone.

Any thoughts from this wise group?
