I have recently been having a disconcerting issue where I get a
notification saying "You have one or more MyLifeOrganized reminders
active" - but when I press the button "Open Reminders" nothing is
shown.

This may be since I started using the Bets on the Desktop.

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix?

I have no idea what the reminders are for, and they are not showing on
the desktop program. either.

This happens when MLO PPC is not running or the file that contains a
reminder is not open by it. Please download the latest MLO-PPC setup
from our site. This has been fixed.
Please let me know if that does not fix the issue.

Thank you,
Oleg

I have downloaded the latest version from the website. The problem has
occurred since, when - as you say - MLO PPC is not running. So I
gather this is by design.

So what happens if I see a Notification message and click on it to
find it empty. Have I missed a reminder or will it display again when
I open the file in question - and if so how long after? I am concerned
I am missing reminders and am not sure I can rely on this feature of
MLO.

I always close the MLO-PPC before connecting to the PC as I find the
synchronisation process is otherwise much slower.

Is there anything I should be doing here?

In ListPro-PPC the alarms sound whether or not the file is loaded,
hopefully the same is possible with MLO-PPC

I don't recall having this problem until recently, in case that helps.

The problem has been fixed. Please make sure you have the latest
version downloaded and installed on the PDA side (you might need to
clear your web browser cache in order to download the new version
instead of using the file downloaded previously.)
You can check the version number of the \Windows\MLORemindSvc.dll, it
has to be 1.9.2.450 if you have the latest version.
Also, please have a look at this post

Hmm - the dll is V1.9.2.450. I'll monitor it and see if it continues
to happen.

Another version of this happened to me today. An alarm went off with
no dialog. There was no way to stop it sounding other than halting the
reminders service.

I set this Reminder two hours earlier on the PPC while out - I did not
use Set due date on this occasion.

I am using MLO PPC V1.9.2 with MLORemindSvc V1.9.2.450

Please get a copy of MLO Tweaker application from
http://www.mylifeorganized.net/downloads/files/MLOTweaker.zip
and follow these instructions:

1. Cradle the PDA
2. Launch the tweaker
3. Navigate to Troubleshooting / Debugging item in the tree view
4. Make sure "MLO-PocketPC: application logging enabled" and "MLO-
PocketPC: reminders service logging enabled" check boxes are checked
and the rest of MLO-PocketPC logging enabled settings are clear.
5. Close the tweaker
6. Do a soft reset of the PDA for the changes to take effect
7. Do the steps to reproduce the issue
8. Cradle the PDA
9. Launch MLO Tweaker
10. Use "Save all logs to..." button in mlo tweaker to copy log files
from device to desktop computer
11. Zip the copied log files and send them to me for an
investigation.

Thanks,
Oleg

Thanks Oleg.

I think in fact this problem is not MLO's. I uninstalled MLO PPC and
the problem remains - an alarm sounding that cannot be stopped. Am I
right to deduce it cannot be because of MLO?

I'm trying to fix it by other means and will then reinstall MLO PPC.

Of course one does not encourage alarms like this during meetings and
concerts!

In case this happens to others, this is what worked for me.

I downloaded PMClean from http://www.pocketmax.net/redial.html

I ran it with all the options ticked.

When the alarm recurred after soft reset it displayed a message. I
chose Dismiss All Alarms from the softkey menu.

I have set PMClean to operate daily overnight to prevent a recurrence
of this problem.
