PPC version:Lost the reminders...

I don't know why - but I seem to have lost the reminders on the hand-
held device. Just to check I added a task with a reminder for 5 mins
time... and nothing happened. I checked the reminders service option -
and the only option selectable is "Stop" - so I assume its running
(Where can I check?)

I uninstalled (but kept the settings) and reinstalled - no
difference..
Ideas?

Graham,

This has been fixed. Please download the latest PPC version from the
site and install it.

I beg to differ.. It was 1.9.2 I had installed previously, and having
just cleared my cache, and downloaded afresh, its still 1.9.2 that I
downloaded. Still I uninstalled and re-installed (keeping settings) as
I did previouslyt, and still there are no reminders on the PPC.

Suggestions please?

That's right, the version is still 1.9.2. Please transfer the \Windows
\MLORemindSvc.dll file to the desktop computer and use Properties item
from a context menu in Windows Explorer to find out the exact version
of the file. It has to be 1.9.2.450 and if it is not, it is a wrong
version.
Another suggestion would be please reinstall the application to the
main memory if you use wm2005+ and the app is installed to a memory
card.

OK done this.. versions of MLO files in this folder are:-
MLORemindSvc.dll = 1.9.2.450
MLOSound.exe = 1.0.0.1
MLOUtil.exe = 1.9.2.450

Application is installed in main memory

I still don't get sound - I've checked that the "No sound in cradle"
is UNchecked. When creating the item I've tested that the sound can be
played (using the play button), I've even added the vibrate and repeat
options .... and Nothing happens :(

Any more ideas?

Please get a copy of MLO Tweaker application from
http://www.mylifeorganized.net/downloads/files/MLOTweaker.zip
and follow these instructions:

1. Cradle the PDA
2. Launch the tweaker
3. Navigate to Troubleshooting / Debugging item in the tree view
4. Make sure "MLO-PocketPC: application logging enabled" and "MLO-
PocketPC: reminders service logging enabled" check boxes are checked
and the rest of MLO-PocketPC logging enabled settings are clear.
5. Close the tweaker
6. Do a soft reset of the PDA for the changes to take effect
7. Do the steps to reproduce the issue
8. Cradle the PDA
9. Launch MLO Tweaker
10. Use "Save all logs to..." button in mlo tweaker to copy log files
from device to desktop computer
11. Zip the copied log files and send them to me for an investigation.

Ahh.. just logged on to say I've fixed it. :( Didn't end up with this
debug info for you.) I fixed it by removing using SKTools to remove
the startup processess for MLO, then started up MLO and added a
reminder task. MLO (cleverly) prompted me that the service wasn't
running, so I started the service. I got a cascade of earlier
alarms.... I went back into SKTools and confirmed that the MLO service
had been re-instated. When I scheduled another task - it rang!

So - looks like the service got confused and needed re-registering.

If it happens again - I'll follow these instructions
