Chris,

I changed it. You should get a note from Google Groups from a minute ago.

Isn’t that your old email address? The only way to change such things is remove the old and add the new.

Joel, thanks for being so on top of this. Sorry our visit at MCk was so short. Having Sweets Mill earlier has created a time crunch. It was great to see you, no matter how long or short.

Hey Debby Jo,

I felt very glad to see you (and all) and it was a weird experience at the same time. Almost like climbing into somebody’s closet after driving for many hours, to have a day of sweet, friendly interaction in person. The space that is out of the sun is pretty minimal near the creek! The trails Sue wants (and I dreamed of building once upon a time) are not likely to appear very soon under these conditions.

And the view of the cooked ridge is disconcerting, despite the concert we provided as antidote. Yes, it’s got so much going for it still, as a property, and I am so glad that Jemmy is not apparently discouraged because his efforts are everything.

I'm very glad I went. And also very aware of the community size staying so small. For obvious reasons, few of us have invited additional folks to participate in the community lately, except when there’s stuff to accomplish. Very understandable under current conditions, but I do wish we had had more opportunity to build up the size of the Musick community before beetles and burns began.

Jem seems to be hesitant to invite (to so-called Father’s Day) the people who work with him on the property, possibly for the reason you allude to—time crunch with the Mill and other calendar changes. And the reason I give, why I'm hesitant to invite people, is because “come far and sit in a very outdoor closet-sized space and dabble in a creek here and there” are not easily met with enthusiasm. I guess I should just not describe it if I invite people?

Anyhow, I very much agree. Long or short, it is very cool to see you. And it was a wholesome and fine gathering of the tribe.

Joel hugs galore

PS: As for being on top of this, yeah, I guess I am somewhat, sometimes and thanks, but before you conclude that, note that yesterday I managed to figure out some small problems with Musick-Thinkwalks financial records that have waited years to be sleuthed. But now I did, so I *am* on top of things! Maybe.

I was pleasantly surprised that we could sit in the shade of the oak sprouts we thinned out. Since the Sweets Mill schedule has crashed into ours, maybe we should plan some more MskCkC camp outs. I invited some people who didn't come. Maybe next time...

Joel do I hear you saying you need a wider brim on that sombrero?
