Hi,

I was trying to use my midi controller to create some drum patterns with the touch pads. However, the midi controller has a default channel  other then 1 (channel 10, I think) for all 16 drum pads. Would it be possible to add some feature to select a midi channel to input actual notes, regardless on what channel they will be stored/output when the pattern is playing? The drums are sent on the default channel and I wouldn't want to reprogramm the midi controller just for the midi arranger because it is sooo inconvenient to reprogramm (using the MPK 261).

Also a completely different topic:
I sometimes would like to use the midi arranger as a midi thru device. This is because I sometimes just want to play MIDI files to an expander (using the V3sound sonority XXL which is replacing the synthesizer in the toolchain that midi arranger is expexting). Currently the MIDI file will be played into a MIDI merger box where also the MPK261 is connected and when I want to just play some files, I'm required to reconnect the MIDI plugs which is a bit of a hassle. Would it be a huge task to not only enable "send MIDI in to OUT" but add an extra option for "MIDI THRU"?

Thank's for your response and best regards!

Hi,

Few other users also requested this feature: to configure midiArranger to receive midi events from other channels (not only 1), but it was mostly for chord recognition. In your case what you need is different, you actually want to use it in edit mode and be able to quickly switch from channel 1 to 10 (or others).

I will try to include this in the next release and after that I will see what I can do about that MIDI THROUGH functionality.

Thanks.

Sven,

MIDI arranger now has both these features. See my post here for recording in Edit mode from other midi channels, not just channel 1:

And I just added the MIDI THRU capability in Code Version: 131. You will find it in Settings, when activate MIDI THRU you will be able to select all the midi channels which will be routed to MIDI OUT.
