to MIDI Arranger
Hi everybody,

The new MIDI Arranger v3 app is available in Google Play. This is a vastly improved version, it includes many fixes and new features. Moving forward, only the paid version will be available as it is not easy for me to maintain two apps. The cost of the app is significantly lower now too.

The most important features:
  • New Backup and Restore functions in Styles Library to be able to backup your Styles library and restore it later or on another device.
  • Import from Yamaha STY format 1, single files or a zip containing multiple styles, organized in a Folder -> Sub-folder structure representing the Category and Subcategory inside the Styles library. This is very useful for importing a lot of styles at once.
These two in App features are replacing the Cloud Sync function which I removed in order to be able to significantly reduce the cost of MIDI Arranger.
  • Chord recognition can be configured to listen to multiple input channels. Some keyboards are not sending the "left part" on channel 1.

  • Added a MIDI IN monitor. Can be used to test the connected keyboard and see what midi events it sends and on which midi channels.
  • In Edit, when click on MIDI button, a panel will open at the bottom where input channels can be activated. This is useful if the connected keyboard also transmits midi notes on other channels then 1, like some pads. Output midi channels can also be muted (M) or set to play single (S) from here.

  • When MIDI Arranger is playing a mixer like indicator will show on each channel where midi notes are sent to output. This is also available on the main screen when Volumes are toggled on.
Enjoy!
