Windows Update Error 80244008

I get an error when i try and run the windows update from my Vista PC. When i
try and run updates it will give an error: 80244008 Windows couldn;t search
for new updates. If i try and configure the setting it is all greyed out.
This is wierd because i have all system admin rights on the machine.

Are you currently running Vista or Vista SP1?

Examine C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log <=this file (start at the bottom and
work up): Is there a 0x80072EE2 or similar error associated with the
failure(s)?

Does the machine update via WSUS?

Is a "web accelerator" installed? Do you use an "almost as fast as
broadband" DSL or dial-up connection?
