Are you attempting to say that your "old" Hotmail account uses a different
email address from your "new" Live account? What you would have in that
case is two email accounts. What do you mean by "upgraded"? If you are
talking about the new web page then it should continue to receive mail
normally, and emails received before the transition should still be
available in online folders. I don't really understand the question.

You did not "upgrade", you signed up a new Windows Live Hotmail account.
This new account is different from your old MSN Hotmail account.

All MSN Hotmail accounts are being upgraded to Windows Live Hotmail
accounts. At least, that is what happened to mine. All of my old emails are
still in my new Windows Live Hotmail account. I have four pages of old
emails, going back to October 21, 2005. The account says, "Windows Live
Hotmail", now. Looking at it in MS Internet Explorer 7, just because you
appear to be a web access kind of person, and using an email client wouldn't
prove anything.

Emails in a separate Hotmail account do not 'cross over'. They remain in the old account. Each account needs to be accessed to view
any mail.
Assuming the old account has not been expired for lack of use(if so then emails may be gone), then logon to the old account and
forward the emails to the new address.
