MS Money Linux Wine Ubuntu 24.04 - UPdate broke something and reinstall fails

An update with Ubuntu 24.04 hasw broken something. I had MSMoney installed using the WINE install script perviously and it was working nicely; I ran Ubuntu update and MS Money would no longer run.

I Uninstalled and tried a reinstall; it started fine asked which version of Money I wanted to install then I got this error:

This is info on the changes to wine, with a link to a new msmoneysetup. Give it a go, and let me know if you have trouble. If so, please upload your wine-install.log to that thread.

Thanks for the swift response

I tried an unistall and reinstall using that latest script, but get the same errors (albeit the US money version now dowloads before the errors)

I also tried a restore of the msmoneyprefix folder from a backup but that didn't work either

I think the Ubuntu update must have broken something with WINE

I sorted out the problem, I spotted a warning further up the install about "warning: wineserver not found!" and after a bit of searching decided to try and install WINE prior to trying the install script "sudo apt-get install wine". The script then ran fine and MS Money is back working again.
