actually, even if you HAVE watched it before, it's definitely worth
another viewing (especially "running" at only three and a half minutes
long).
it's kinda like Slapstick Meets Science -- a short film by the dude
who produces the Hippy Gourmet TV show.
so, what do you think?
will it be a practical mode of transportation eventually, or is it
just worth a few laughs to make a point?
i love the irony employed in using an ancient Roman chariot for the
demonstration -- especially given the driver.
it cheers you up to see the presidential object finally put to some
good use.

Coal and oil aren't running out, but production of solar cells is
increasing exponentially and therefore will shortly cause dramatic
changes in society, I believe. "The stone age didn't end because we
ran out of rocks."

I think the solar power bit will eventually be a done deal, but the
chariot? Nah. And I don't quite get the point of the walking when he
uses wheels, too.

LOL!
aj
coal and oil aren't running out?
yikes.
anyway, i really like that stone age quote of yours.
do you know who is creditted with originating it?
i tried googling it up but there were way too many entries to take the
time to try sussing it out.
in any case, did you enjoy the chariot video?
was that amusing, or what?
there's another one at the main Hippy Gourmet youtube site featuring a
solar car with these really HUGE wheels.
funny stuff.

but it's so cool!

apparently, it's more efficient than just wheels alone.
the traction of the walking motion or some such -- the wheels on the
bottom of the "feet" are ratcheted so that they roll forward but not
backwards -- thus allowing the feet to "pull" the chariot.
kinda like rollerskating, only better.

ITYMTS:
ROTFLMFAO
No more than sunlight is.
The quote about the stone age is attributed to some Saudi oil magnate.
