google profile megablog timestamps glitching out

the newer posts are timestamped later than the older posts.

in fact, the older megablog posts are timestamped several hours into
the future, no less.

welcome to database technology 2007!

apparently, it's not quite as good as database technology 1987

nor as good as database technology 1967

oh well.

obviously, the future of database technology is here.

and it's doing it again.

now it shows the "so wise and yet so dumb" post as being posted AFTER
the three "if you were president" posts i just made in mw -- the third
of which i had to repost (and it still only shows up partially).

yet the actual timestamps in the mis-sorted profile posts seem right
-- at least they did yesterday when i checked them.

oh well.

google freaking out, blocking megablog link, etc.

--------------

the link from the mw post "every possible ending" was screwed up for a
few hours:

gabagool -- The Soprano's Finale -- 25+ versions

http://groups.google.com/group/megablog/msg/d82b33a9908872db

giving the following strange error message:

10:25 PM 6/10/2007
http://www.google.com/sorry/?continue=http://groups.google.com/group/megablog/msg/d82b33a9908872db

We're sorry...

your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon.
In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on
Google.
To continue searching, please type the characters you see below:

[no characters visible]

and before that, mw itself was blinking in and out, and when "out"
giving the following error message:

10:13 PM 6/10/2007
The requested URL /sorry/?continue=http://groups.google.com/group/
misc.writing was not found on this server.

mw only started screwing up (blinking in and out of google
accessability) immediatley after i posted the first of two posts in
the "every possible ending" thread.

OTOH, during the same time period that mw was intermitingly faling,
other newsgroups were not. nor was megablog itself failing (except for
the link from mw -- which, oddly enough, continued to work just fine
as its own URL when it was gotten to by clicking "view individual
message" from the megablog post options listing).

IOW: the following link failed when clicked from mw (giving the error
mentioned earlier above)

http://groups.google.com/group/megablog/msg/d82b33a9908872db

but going to megablog itself and clicking on the message to which the
link above belonged, the exact same link was visible in the AOL URL
window listing, -- IOW, it WORKED with no error message:

http://groups.google.com/group/megablog/msg/d82b33a9908872db

(note: i trimmed the extraneous suffix characters -- it worked as well
with them as without them, but not when clicking on the very same link
from the mw post it was posted in -- THEN it continued to give the
strange error message)

though it seems to be working ok now.

--------------

oh well.

that's database technology for ya.

it's so "primitive".

google sign-in blocked

blocked from signing in to google to post replies in mw:

Not Found

/sorry/?continue=http://www.google.com/groups/signin%....

The requested URL was not found on this server.

several hours later that day, access was allowed again.

on the upside, i recently noticed that google had apparently fixed one
of their many google group text quoting glitches. multiple blank text
spaces are now NOT being replaced with question marks.

and the poster profile history calender tally is finally updating for
this email account.

(it stopped in March sometime, i think, and was frozen and non-
updating until a few days ago -- this seemed to be happening to a few
other people's accounts as well, but not all)

also now updating is the total posts tally in the "Recent Activity"
dropdown combo box.

(which was previously stuck on 799 or something)

google appears to need more programmers and trouble shooters and
whatnot.

i guess they just can't afford them.

after awhile, the above stuff started working again, however, just
after posting a new entry into the megablog jukebox thread:

megablog jukebox -- Beethoven
http://groups.google.com/group/megablog/msg/735352ee02b84daf

(which was just a copy of the same post from another megablog thread)

anyway, just after posting that, i got knocked off AOL.

this wasn't a google error link-screwing-up thinger this time, nope.

this was 100% unrelated.

this time my cable modem was totally cut off.

but only for an hour.

then it was "magically" working again, with no tweaks from moi.

Gawd.

what cowardly assholes.

google not posting to mw (boring goggle error) PART II

all of the bottom is the same, except i know find that posts to
megablog aren't showing up in google groups either -- though posts i
sent elsewhere DID show up.

which means that only my posts to mw and megablog are currently
blocked.

go figure.

================

so, i go check mw, only to find Stan being told by Josh that Josh
doesn't care about the several hundred posts that he's been making in
a futile blackhole attempt to defend Ray (the lying malicious
scumbag),

so i compose a response to his latest lying post on the matter in
response to this post of Josh's:

--------------
Re: boi
Josh
http://groups.google.com/group/misc.writing/msg/60222dc9d0b58971
--------------

it's entitled "how to prove who cares"

i post it to mw, but... guess what?

it doesn't show up on mw in google groups.

however, posts i sent elswhere DO show up on google groups.

(not) scratching head.

then, i go back to mw to check some other new responses to my threads,
and i find that the fundoc poser has forged yet another post from me,
and guess who else is posting up their wetdream BS in that thread?

yep.

Ray & Josh:

--------------
Re: how to tell if your father ever loved you

http://groups.google.com/group/misc.writing/msg/88bd0ff17bd65d9a
--------------

i haven't read any of their usual pure bullshit yet, but i can just
imagine what's there.

"it's not TV. it's usenet."

also, i see that another of my threads have some new responses:

--------------
Re: POLL -- Who the hell doesn't love Rachael Ray?
"Addison", Josh, Ray, & Milt.

http://groups.google.com/group/misc.writing/msg/b22f006849131ace
--------------

i guess, depending on their content, i'll read
(and possibly even reply to some of them)
whenever google starts working again.

thank you for your obsessive attention.

google not allowing starring of topics -- (boring error log)

it no longer allows me to mark threads that i'd like to follow.

and though all of my previous star marks are still there, it also
won't allow me to unmark them -- which is what i tried to do, having
assumed that perhaps there was some sort of limit to how many threads
one could mark with the star.

mind you, it allows you to toggle the star mark in the cyrrent google
window, however, once you click on a thread and return to thye main
topic listing page, your changes are lost and your previous history of
marked threads is there instead.

it's been doing this for the last day or so.

database technology:

the technology that gets worse every day (rather than better).

only mankind could manage to be so idiotic.
