Weld and Test Plan

Hello everyone,

My question is regarding weld and test plan preparation. In the weld and test plan, 

Q1. How can one select which process is required at the Long seam or Circumferential seam? and

Q2. using which one can prepare weld and test plan GA/Part drawing or by any other way?

Hi,

For Q1 ,Case 1 :  For Selection of Process some Client already mentioned in their approved Drg. for which process you should have to follow.

             Case  2 : If in approved Drg. process is not mentioned than before start of production weld first you should have to approve weld Map from client  which include process (with sequence)                                  with joint configuration ( L/s ,C/S. etc..)

For Q2 ,Test Plan should be as per GA Drg,Part Drg,Client Specification & Client Purchase Order.GA Drg,Part Drg,Client Specification & Client Purchase Order requirement should comply in Test plan.

PO--->Customer Specification with Design data ( for understand equipment Service requirement)----> Approved drawing ---->Approved ITP/QAP & Procedure

I think if you follow above sequence than you may get clear idea about test plan.
