thanks for the heads up.  I downloaded this to my computer, and also tested the demo version (https://dev-mapstore.geosolutionsgroup.com/mapstore/#/context/demo_context/46500).  In both instances, when attempting to read

it would not work.  I am assuming that the issue with not having multiple CRS directives was not fixed in this release.  Is that a correct assumption?

Hi.
The issue should be this one.
As you can see in the "milestone" field, it was scheduled for the next major release (2024.02.00).
This minor release (2024.01.02) was too near in time to receive this fix.

is there an ETA for the next release?  I am very eager to use MapStore with some WMS servers that only provide 1 CRS.

Thanks, Tobia.  I noticed the DEMO instances here.  There is a link for the DEV that states "where all the changes are deployed once they are published on the Master branch of our repo".  I want to make sure I understand the purpose of this link.  Does this link represent what is currently going into the next product?  If so, the CRS issue that was fixed earlier still does not work for the following url:

I can read that wms into QGIS and other products with no difficulties, but when attempting to add it from the MapStore DEV example, it still returns the same error: Service not available please check the provided url

I went to that site thinking it is more of a work in progress, and has the latest changes, but I could be wrong.  However, seeing that you have the ability to read an ArcGIS service leads me to think that it is the most current development environment.

The wms site I reference above that failed is from Manifold Server.  So, I think there must be some other issue beyond the CRS problem.   The error I am getting when trying to connect to that site is:

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'WMS_Capabilities')
    at mapstore2.js?1c366f999d0a221f:2:384997

The GetCapabilities for the Manifold Server is found here:

are you able to connect to the Manifold server?

Dear Arthur,

did you maybe check the MapStore log file to see if there is something reported there?

I did not explicitly check the log file, but as I reported, the browser log says:

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'WMS_Capabilities')
    at mapstore2.js?1c366f999d0a221f:2:384997

so, I simply want to know if the dev team had tested the original wms link I provided to see if the CRS issue was resolved:

if you receive the same error, then a bug obviously exists somewhere.  If you can read that wms site, then it may be something in my setup.  But as I said, I'm using the DEV environment from your site and getting the error.  Other products can read the wms from the Manifold server site, so this appears isolated to MapStore.

Dear Arthur,

I was not able to fetch contents from your WMS. The error "Service not available please check the provided url"  has nothing to do with the CRS issue you have mentioned. That's why I've suggested to check the MS log.

thanks, Tobia.  Originally, when attempting to reach this site, I posted the issues.  On July 11,  Lorenzo thought it might have been related to the CRS - see discussion here.

So, there must be some other reason that the problem exists.  Based your reply, we can confirm that you were not able to fetch the contents either.  Unfortunately, this is not my WMS server.  It is an example server provided by Manifold.  When I get home tonight, I'll try and read the log file and report what I find.  I just wondered that when you attempted to fetch the WMS service from your MS installation if you were able to see anything that might have caused it.  Obviously, your knowledge of how MS works exceeds mine (and likely everyone else's), so I wasn't sure if your development team can run down what the issue is.  Having the ability to read WMS from a Manifold server would be great.  And as I said, QGIS can read the WMS without any difficulty.

I'm glad that my post from July was able to identify a bug with the CRS issue,  but I think this is another bug when trying to read the WMS from the link I provided.

thanks for your prompt feedback,

art
