Hi Everyone,
We've been hearing your thoughts on the Forums, Issue Tracker and in Hangouts about streamlining the process for tracking and denying pending edits where no response from the original contributor is received.
Earlier today we rolled out an Auto-denial feature which helps you in dealing with pending edits left unattended by the editors where you’ve requested more details for approval.
With this change, a 7-day window gets set every-time you "Request Details". Hence, it is very important that we "Request Details" only when the detail is critical to make an ‘approve-deny decision’. (screenshot below)
However, you also have the flexibility to “uncheck” the auto-deny option, in cases where you believe the features should not be denied after 7 days (these can be reviewed by someone else)
The editor, will see "Incomplete or too sparse" as the reason for denial on his edit. However, the selected reason will not affect the editor’s trust level as much as it does in case of “Deliberate spam” or “Potentially illegal data”.
We welcome your thoughts, questions about this on the General Mapping forum.
Cheers, Rohit
