That's beyond OK and into fantastic. There is no better place to get started with the future of fun and tech than the Makers Alliance. We recently moved to a larger adjacent area, and received additional tables, workbenches, chairs and shelving as well. Some unpacking may still be going on tomorrow, but new people are always welcome. I'll be working with the msp430 launchpad board + Android tomorrow, and can guide you in working with one of our msp430 kits. The msp430 is similar to Arduino but cheaper and better. R-PI GPIO was covered briefly at JavaOne last week, but the write up notes don't describe the details: https://blogs.oracle.com/javaone/entry/session_report_java_on_the Apparently someone also connected an EEG to R-PI and used it to control a motor: http://via.me/-5kdsgw4 https://twitter.com/speakjava There is also a GPIO library for a previous JDK: http://elinux.org/RPi_Low-level_peripherals --- On Mon, 10/15/12, Sean Stallbaum <seans...@gmail.com> wrote: |
