The First Thanksgiving

In the fall of 1621, English settlers planned a feast to celebrate a successful corn harvest, thanks to Wampanoag guide Tisquantum. No one at the time called it Thanksgiving, but this humble gathering would later be recast as one of the defining moments in American history.

Explore the forces, circumstances and personalities that propelled a group of English men and women west across the Atlantic in 1620 in The Pilgrims, available on iTunes and the PBS Documentaries Prime Video Channel

HELP WITH MEDICARE COSTS

To help with their Medicare costs, low-income seniors and people with disabilities may qualify to receive financial assistance from the Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs). The MSPs help pay Medicare premiums and may also pay Medicare deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments if people meet the conditions of eligibility.

For more information go to:

medicare.gov/basics/costs/help/medicare-savings-programs.

In addition, Extra Help is a Medicare program that helps qualifying individuals pay Part D premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and other costs. Individuals who enroll in MSPs automatically qualify. To learn more about Extra Help, go to: Medicare.gov/extrahelp.
