Reminder: Tomorrow night's Executive Committee meeting

Hi folks,

 

I just wanted to get a quick reminder out about tomorrow night's Executive Committee meeting.  Again, it's going to be at 7:30 p.m. in what was known as the "Bird Room", up a flight and a half from the Cary Memorial Building lobby.  David Tabeling should be there at 7:30 to take a picture for the Town Report.  We should adjourn by 8:30 so people can make it home for the debate.

 

The agenda has been kept short to get your input on what you'd like to address at future meetings (concerns or topics we'd like more information on).  As with inviting Dr. Czajkowski to welcome her, in prior years we've had the Town Manager, the DPW manager and members of various boards and committees.

1)    Picture for the Town Report

 

2)    Treasurer's Report

 

3)    Approve the minutes of the June meeting

 

4)    Discussion of concerns or the need for more information to be addressed at future meetings.

It was a fairly quiet week this week.

Buffer Zones -

The second public forum for the buffer zone policy was held on Wednesday evening. The policy will next be read at SC meetings in Oct/November before being voted on and approved.

If you weren't able to attend either of the public fora, LPS has a new tool called "Lexington Listens" @ http://bit.ly/2d94scZ which aims to provide another way for parents to give their feedback to the district on buffer zones and enrollment.

The SC meeting this week will feature the official 1 October enrollment update and an iteresting in-depth analyses of LPS HR and SPED. The PBC will also have an update on Hastings.
