Dear kubefolx,

As announced earlier [1], it has been decided to reschedule the Kubernetes (main) SIG Release meeting to better fit everyone’s schedule. We had a Doodle running for about two weeks (between Jul 21 and Aug 3) and the winning time slot is Thursday, 2:30-3:15 pm UTC, with 18 votes out of 24 voters.

This change is going into effect starting from the week of August 18, so the first meeting in the new time slot will be Thursday, August 21, at 2:30 pm UTC. Going forward, we’re switching to the bi-weekly meeting cadence, so from that date, we’ll have meetings every two weeks.

Due to the transition to the bi-weekly format, the meeting scheduled for the next week has been canceled.

As a reminder, we have also decided to stop doing alternating meeting times, so this is the only time slot that we’ll have for the main SIG Release meeting going forward.

Finally, the new meeting slot has been tied to the UTC time. This might affect folks who are observing the Daylight Saving Time (DST), in which case, the meeting might move for +/- 1 hour depending on if DST is in effect.

Note: the calendar has been already updated with these changes.

A huge thanks to everyone who voted and we hope to see more of you in our new meeting time slot!

If you have any questions or any feedback, please feel free to reach out to us by replying to this email or pinging us in the #sig-release Slack channel [2].

Kind regards,

Marko Mudrinić,

On behalf of Kubernetes SIG Release leads
