Greetings programs,

As discussed in today's SIG Node meeting, a group of interested SIG members have volunteered to work on swap support, targeting alpha for the 1.22 release.

To provide a starting point, I have put together a draft document that lists use cases, scope, and current proposals, and shared it with the SIG Node group: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CZtRtC8W8FwW_VWQLKP9DW_2H-hcLBcH9KBbukie67M/edit#

Please take a look, document missing use cases, and add your name to the "Contacts" section of the doc if you are interested in contributing!

Cheers,

- e

Just a brief reminder to take a look at this document if you haven't had a chance to already, and are interested in Kubernetes swap support!

I am also seeking volunteer test users who want to assist with testing their use cases. Please add your name to the document under one of the user stories if this is something you are interested in helping with: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CZtRtC8W8FwW_VWQLKP9DW_2H-hcLBcH9KBbukie67M/edit#heading=h.8ilpribw5jbx

We're starting to pare down scope for an MVP for alpha swap support in 1.22. I made a number of updates based on the discussion in the doc today. Please take a look if you haven't had a chance already, or check back if you haven't looked in a few weeks: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CZtRtC8W8FwW_VWQLKP9DW_2H-hcLBcH9KBbukie67M/edit#

Once we reach general consensus on scope, we can begin drafting a KEP targeted for 1.22. I filed a placeholder issue so our KEP number will be KEP-2400.
