Any settings files around?

The absolute lack of any kind of setting files with best guesses for ABS and PLA, tested printer profiles for the most popular printers (Makerbor Replicator 2), etc., is to be honest quite scary.

Are there any community-maintained settings around? Why aren't any of them linked from the KISSlicer home page?

Don't be afraid.They are there. Just search or ask...
In the same thread is a short guide to set the Rep up, together with gpx (mac based, but it's about the same for windows).
Just change the startGcode to match the Rep2. Also: check the fan code, as I remember it's different for the Rep2.

It's just a startpoint (as all profiles) because everybody has a different point of interest.
