| I don't have the stamina anymore to do long trips. What I do have thought is fond memories of the 4 trips I joined to all on around Europe. Many thanks. |

Hi Martin, I remember we stayed in the Ibis in Sion and it was good, think
i
payed £170, that was for 2 nights, 2 meals and a few shandys, all in all
not
bad.
The other hotels were outside Switzerland, one in Nancy, think it was an
Etap,
cant remember the other.
At the time we went, petrol there was about half the price here and France.
It
is a fantastic place to visit, you won't regret going!! wish i could come
with
you, but am bikeless at the mo!
Jason.

There's nothing much to them at all. I was happy enough staying in them
but I wouldn't take the family.

I seem to remember Jason made a friend in the bar that night :-0

Great to hear you are getting some new wheels Martin. I still have my Z750. It has never failed it's MOT in spite of being 10 years old now. New brake pads, new tyres and a new battery are all I've needed to buy except for the routine oil changes. Wish I could sign up but age and detiorating health means spending more than the occassional 2/3 hours on my bike could carry an hightened degree of risk. Hope you manage to get it back together. I live in Poole, Dorset now so if you are ever in the area give me a call on 07801 704075 and I'll buy you an ice cream.
Cheers!
Jack
Hi everyone, thought i would post a message as its been very quiet and i have not posted for a while. As you know i have been without a bike since had to sell my Tiger 2 years ago now, well hopefully i will be back on a bike some time this year. I was wondering if any of the old gang were thinking of trip at all this year? would be good to hear from everyone either way.Martin G

Hiya Simon. My first ever bike was a 1957 BSA C15 250cc. Bought it in 1965. Oh! Happy Days. Got it to the ton once coming down a big hill in Wales with a strong tail wind. Wish I still had it today even if it would mean bruised ankles from the kick start. Nice to hear from you. Jack
The guy I bought it from had it set up for speed, but even then I struggled under must circumstances to get 80mph out of it.
Did someone say bike trip next year? :-)
