"ISKCON [Hillsborough,] North Carolina Plagued by Death Threats"
Reference: Bruce Jacobs (a.k.a. Bir Krishna Das Goswami), the leader of the Hillsborough/Efland Hare Krishna devotee community, is currently being investigated by the Orange County, North Carolina Sheriff's Department for covering up a confirmed sexual child molester and for hiding cases of sexual child molestation. (Just published today: <http://b-i-f.com/Las%20Vedas.html>)
Here is an article which I wrote more than 6 years ago in response to an item in the PADA newsletter. At the time, I didn't know that one of Bir Krishna Das Goswami's prize disciples, the headmaster of the local gurukula (boarding school), my son-in-law, the son of one of Srila Prabhupada's personal servants, was being investigated by the ISKCON CPO for allegations of child abuse. This may have been another reason, in addition to trying to insure that my wife not be approved as ISKCON's first female guru, for the bad publicity that was being created by BKG about her: to create a distraction from the CPO investigation.
BKG is duplicitous. He is a pathological liar. He is a childish control freak. He controlled my wife by being in charge of whether or not she was allowed to give class at ISKCON Hillsborough, NC. He also controlled her by being on the board of directors of her "ISKCON School."
When I was on the school board, I tried to get him kicked off because I considered him to be a big embarrassment to the school: a college drop-out and an admitted child abuser! But then he conspired with my wife and the other board members and had me kicked off the board instead!
But that still wasn't enough for him: A few years after I had left North Carolina, he tried to further control my wife by holding out the ultimate poison bait: "Do what I tell you, and I'll make you ISKCON's first female guru!"
In order to get him to approve her guruship nomination, he required her to:
1. ... write an expose on Narayana Maharaja. She agreed on condition that it be anonymous. He promised her that it would be, but when it was published on the old version of Chakra.org, her name was included as the author!
2. ... make a video tape describing (exaggerating, I'm sure) how her husband (me) used to beat her. (See "Pratyatosa Confesses to Being a Wife Beater" - <http://groups.google.com/group/istagosthi/msg/d42b4c50c91079ce>) Again she agreed to do it as long as it was anonymous. Therefore, her face was veiled during the interview. I have never seen the video, but I heard it described by someone who said that it was obvious who was speaking and who she was speaking about (me). This was obviously a trick by BKG. He wanted that video to show the GBC, so that it would insure that her guruship nomination was turned down, because everyone knows that, "A woman who has been abused has mental problems!"
There may have been other things that he required her to do also, but the above 2 are the only ones that I know about.

Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami (BKG) A.K.A Bruce Jacobs, an ISKCON (the International Society for Krishna Consciousness) "sannyasi" (celibate monk)/"guru" (spiritual master)/GBC (ISKCON's Governing Body Commission), is making propaganda within the ISKCON North Carolina devotee community that the sender of the email from "Krishna Das Patel" is actually his son, Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs.
BKG (http://www.bkgoswami.com/) is also making propaganda that his son has threatened to murder him (BKG) and his mother, and has threatened to kill all Jews! He quotes his son as saying, "I'm going to finish the work that Hitler started and kill all the rest of the Jews!" BKG claims that these death threats are on his mother's answering machine tapes, but he refuses to make copies of them available:

The IP addresses of subsequent emails which I received directly from
"Krishna Das Patel" indicate that they were sent from the Columbus, Ohio area, and BKG claims that his son is living with his step-father in Ohio, but BKG also claims that he doesn't know the name of his son's step-father, and no one in the Hillsborough, NC devotee community, including BKG himself, has been able to give me BKG's son's email address!
BKG's son (kcja...@hotmail.com) denies that he made any death threats, but that death threats were made against him:

BKG's son (Krishna Jacobs) is currently a plaintiff in a $400 million child abuse lawsuit (http://surrealist.org/05jpgs/complaint_state.pdf) in which his father (Bruce Jacobs) is named as one of the defendants. This case was filed in Dallas, Texas District Court on October 25, 2001, prior to the alleged death threats by his father. Is this a case of witness/victim intimidation? Is the father's claiming that his son has made death threats, and his claiming that the crazy emails from "Krishna Das Patel" (see below) are actually from his son, an attempt to intimidate/discredit a victim/potential witness who was cruelly abused by his father as a helpless child? If it is, then the father (Bruce Jacobs) is guilty of a very serious federal crime (U.S. Code, Title 18, Section 1512: Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant) which is punishable by a hefty fine and up to 10 years in prison!
Let's assume that BKG is right: his son, Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs, is the actual author of the email, and that his son "wants to destroy" his father. Then several questions come to mind:
1. Making death threats across state lines, such as by long distance telephone calls, are serious federal crimes, so why didn't BKG bring the answering machine tapes to his local FBI agent and have his son arrested? ("18 U.S.C. 875(c), which makes the transmission of any communication in interstate and foreign commerce containing a threat to kidnap or injure another, punishable up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000." - http://gsulaw.gsu.edu/lawand/papers/fa02/medlin/)
2. If BKG's son was trying to hide his identity, then why would he change his last name but not his first name? ("Krishna C. Jacobs" to "Krishna Das Patel").
3. If BKG's son was trying to hide his identity, then why, in his "spam" list, did he include his mother's email address?
4. In an email, the Sannyasa Ministry investigator stated, "I contacted one of the devotees that Krishna Das Patel told me would surely confirm that Bir Krishna Maharaja was having an affair with some female devotee. The devotee I contacted told me the exact opposite story, ...that Bir Krishna Maharaja is very strict dealing with women and that the rumor hadn't the slightest truth in it." Why would someone who is trying to "destroy" BKG, name a witness who is on BKG's side?
5. When I emailed Mr. "Patel", and asked him where he got his information, he replied, "The information was inducted from a conversation with your eldest son." When I asked my eldest son, "Why is he saying that?" he replied, "I don't know anything about that." Why would he name a source who doesn't know anything about it?
6. In another email, Mr. "Patel" replied to everything that I wrote, except the following: "Those who have illicit sex with another's wife experience nothing but misery, and are always exposed by Lord Sri Krishna's arrangement eventually. My wife is being well protected by my sons and son-in-law. I know my wife, and she's very chaste. I trust her completely. Besides, she's not that stupid! 'Bearing false witness' is a very great sin. You should be more careful what you say about people." Why did he ignore this portion of my email, but reply to all of the other items in the email?
7. In another email, I stated, "BKG is spreading rumors about my wife in order to prevent her from becoming ISKCON's first female "guru". Mr. "Patel" replied, "This is totally ridiculous. It was BKG who recommended the appointment." Does this sound like someone who wants to "destroy" BKG? (It sounds to me like he is defending BKG!)
8. BKG's son, Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs (kcja...@hotmail.com), in a recent email, wrote, "To be honest, this issue is no longer important to me. I have no interest in Bruce, his family or his sexual relations." In reference to #7 above, how would KCJ know that, "It was BKG who recommended the appointment" [of my wife to be an ISKCON "guru".]
9. Why didn't he include his claim that BKG threatened him with death and that he called the police in order to try and have BKG arrested?
10. Why didn't he say that BKG (Bruce Jacobs) is named as a defendant in a $400 million dollar child abuse lawsuit (http://surrealist.org/05jpgs/complaint_state.pdf) and that BKG's son (Krishna Jacobs) is named as one of the plaintiffs?
11. Why would he give a fake address: "701 Hwy 86", but when he is contacted directly, give an address that makes sense: "RR 6 Box 701", the old way of writing the ISKCON NC temple address?
12. Why would he only include "rumors" that are easy to disprove, such as saying that BKG's alleged secret wife lives at a fake Hillsborough, NC address (701 Hwy 86)?
13. Why didn't he include the well publicized rumor, "Bir Krishna maharaja is found to have a personal and close relationship with an individual who was once an initiated disciple of an Iskcon guru and who now, being 'reinitiated' by Ananta Das Babaji of Radhakunda, propagates in public, disturbing views on Srila Bhaktisidanta Saraswati."? 14. Why didn't he include the well publicized rumor, "Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami, while masquerading as a celibate monk, was caught masturbating by one of his disciples."? (PADA newsletter)
15. Why didn't he include the rumor, "Bir Krishna's disgruntled 'disciple', Maitreya (formerly Bhakta Mark?), claims that he (BKG) made a homosexual pass at him."? (Email to me)
16. Why didn't he say that BKG says one thing to your face and just the opposite behind your back? (In other words, he's a pathological liar and he's duplicitous in his dealings, disqualifications for being an ISKCON "guru", according to the GBC. I have proof of his lying, duplicitous dealings in the form of simultaneous private emails to me and to my wife.)
17. Why would he call himself "Patel", and then put anti-Semitic rhetoric in the email? (When I asked this question of Mr. "Patel", he replied, "This is a fundamental problem of logic nearly universal to ISKCON devotees: You are asking a useless question in an attempt to erase the issue.")
18. How did he know the email addresses of my wife, my children and other members of the Hillsborough, NC devotee community?
19. The relatively short email published on PADA contains 9 spelling errors! Krishna Jacobs' long article (<http://www.harekrsna.org/gbc/black/birkris.htm>), on the other hand, contains only two spelling errors in the portion that he wrote, but the portion which was written by his father has 5 spelling errors! Could this be an indication of who actually wrote the email?
20. Why would he write an email that sounds so crazy, but when he is contacted directly, he replies with an email that agrees with some things, disagrees with others, and that doesn't sound so crazy? (See below.)
I've known BKG for many years and I saw him almost every day when I lived, for 5 years, in the Hillsborough, NC devotee community. He was constantly criticizing, behind their backs, the members of the community, his own "disciples", and the GBC. He would even criticize me to my wife in private, while pretending to be my friend! (I have proof of this in the form of private emails from BKG to my wife.)
Here are two more quotes about BKG by his son:
"I only want that the community into which I was born is informed about the misuse of religion and the hypocrisy of one of its most prominent members. I would not curse another child to endure the kind of life that religious hypocrisy, megalomania, greed and neglect have caused." (<http://www.harekrsna.org/gbc/black/birkris3.htm>)
"I am the son of Bir Krishna Maharaj, who is a compulsive liar and criminal." (PADA newsletter)
What is the use of making a show of being a celibate, drug-free vegetarian who doesn't gamble, and who chants 27,648 names of God a day, if that person is a liar? "There is nothing more sinful than untruthfulness. Because of this, mother earth once said, 'I can bear any heavy thing except a person who is a liar'." (Srimad Bhagavatam 8.20.4)
I would be willing to testify in a court of law that Bir Krishna (Bruce Jacobs) is crazy. Anyone who doubts this can simply go to his ISKCON temple property at 1032 Dimmocks Mill Road in Hillsborough and see the crazy way that he's constructed and laid out the buildings there. For years he forced the devotees and guests to leave their shoes out in the rain when they visited the temple room! How many guests' leather shoes were ruined by this insane policy? He's even got the Radha Krishna deities facing West in a building that he built from scratch, just the opposite of the way they are supposed to be facing!
Here's an email that I received recently from one of BKG's "disciples":
"BKG *IS* crazy, and I have also experienced this firsthand. He's a megalomaniac and basically surrounded himself with a bunch of women in his little ashram out there in NC. Any men that were not sufficiently weak or submissive were systematically driven out." (When I sent this quote to Mr. "Patel", he replied "Who wrote this?".)
Perhaps "Krishna Das Patel" is actually BKG's son, like BKG claims, but he and his father are actually co-conspirators! Maybe his father is sending him regular payments. There could also be an element of intimidation/blackmail involved. (BKG says that he has tapes of his son making death threats, but, for some unknown reason, has not sent these tapes to the police in Ohio, where his son resides.) BKG's son, in a recent email denies that he is KDP.
Maybe BKG had one of his fanatical "disciples" fly into the Columbus, Ohio area to send the "Krishna Das Patel" emails from a public library so that his son would be blamed. This theory tends to be bolstered by the fact that the emails from Mr. "Patel" came to an abrupt end on March 23, 2005.
I've gotten onto the Internet at several public libraries in various parts of the country, and none of them check your ID, so it would be very easy to sign in using a fictitious name. Thus even the police would not be able to track down the culprit. By comparing the IP addresses of four different emails from Mr. "Patel", I was able to determine that the emails were probably sent from two different networked computers such as a small public library might have.
Assuming that Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami himself is behind the email published on PADA, what would motivate him to do such an underhanded, dastardly deed? Here are some possible reasons:
1. BKG is desperate to prevent my wife from becoming ISKCON's first female "guru". Therefore he is spreading nasty rumors about her. (At this year's GBC meetings in Mayapura, India, the GBC ruled that women are allowed to be "gurus" (<http://pratyatosa.com/GBCRES/GBCRES2005.htm>). As you may already know, my wife, also a member of the North Carolina devotee community, is a prime candidate. This means that BKG would, if she were approved, have a competing "guru" within his own community, but how can he compete? She has much better knowledge of the shastras (scriptures) than he does. She gives much better classes than he does. Also, rumors of affairs with beautiful, highly qualified women, in the perverted mind of a megalomaniac, might enhance his self-esteem, at the expense of the women and their families. BKG knows that such rumors, unless he's caught being the rumor monger, are not going to cause him to lose his position as "sannyasi"/GBC/"guru", but that they will probably cause my wife to not be "officially approved" as an ISKCON "guru" by the GBC.) When I sent this particular item to Mr. "Patel", he replied, "This is totally ridiculous. It was BKG who recommended the appointment." (Mr. "Patel", have you ever heard of duplicitous dealing/"back stabbing"?)
2. BKG is feeling vengeful toward his son after having lost the court case. (Why, after years of conflict with his father, is Krishna Jacobs suddenly so upset? It should be just the opposite! Krishna Jacobs won the court case! His father lost! The court case is currently being settled out of court with a substantial amount of money going to the plaintiffs, including Krishna Jacobs. The defendants, including his father, Bruce Jacobs, have to pay, in addition to the settlement, all of the legal fees!)
3. BKG is trying to make his son afraid to visit NC for fear of being arrested. (His son is a great embarrassment to him within the devotee community there in Hillsborough because his son is not a Hare Krishna devotee.)
4. BKG put the anti-Jewish rhetoric in the email, not only to try and convince people that his son was the author (His son once claimed to have converted to the Muslim religion.), but also to try and make my wife and her family angry with his son. (Bruce Jacobs is of New York City Jewish background and so is my wife.)
5. BKG is acting out some of his sexual fantasies by spreading rumors that he is having/has had sex with all of these women (Susan, Janavi, my wife, and the woman who drowned)
6. There have been many very negative rumors about BKG over the years, so BKG is using the same technique that the United States government uses to try and hide it's secrets: spreading "disinformation" that is easy to disprove. Then the conspiracy theorists/spies who unknowingly repeat this false information lose their credibility.
7. BKG is feeling vengeful toward me, so he is trying to cause me to become discouraged/depressed/angry with my wife by spreading a rumor that he is having sex with her. (In 1996, I proved to ISKCON investigators that he is a duplicitous liar. In 1997, I got the Turley lawsuit started by contacting them about the ISKCON child abuse. In 1999, I wrote a series of VNN.ORG articles promoting the lawsuit. In 2005, I'm working on starting a second big class action lawsuit against ISKCON/GBC/BBT/BA: I sent my proposal (http://pratyatosa.com/?P=2l) to an ISKCON leader in Mayapura, India during the annual GBC meetings, so perhaps BKG got wind of it.)
8. Assuming that the sender is Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs doing his father's bidding, KCJ is feeling vengeful toward my wife. (KCJ, a few years ago, was courting one of my wife's female students, and she advised her student not to marry him. My wife told me that KCJ was extremely angry with her for causing the female student to break off the relationship.)
For years, BKG lived alone in a cabin in the woods, surrounded by unmarried women, while making a show of being a celibate monk. It's no wonder that he was constantly under a cloud of suspicion! Here is what Srila Prabhupada (ISKCON's founder/spiritual master) has to say about such a situation:
"...the priest or the spiritual master, who are engaged in teaching people about religiosity, he must be perfect, above suspicion." (Lecture in Los Angeles, 12/15/73)
"...when one has to take charge of [an ISKCON] center, he has to become completely above suspicion." (Letter to Brahmananda, 3/12/68)
There are many similar quotes. Srila Prabhupada was obviously very concerned about situations such as this arising within his beloved ISKCON.

Will Bir Krishna be openly exposed, or will the GBC and ISKCON Corporation conceal the truth from the devotee community out of fear it will further tarnish their scarred reputation?
It is also becoming clear that Bir Krishna ordered the murder by drowning of a young woman at the Hillsborough, North Carolina temple. Did he have an afair with her he was trying to conceal? Did she discover the existence of his wife during one of Susan's retreats to her cabin near the cabin where Bir Krishna resided?
How much sex did Bir Krishna have while a sannyasa? A tax document was filed when Bruce Jacobs was married to Susan. The document shows that the address RR 6 Box 701 in Hillsborough was used as their mutual residence.
Thats all I have as hard evidence. I know Bruce has another male child because his step-mother mage strong suggestions to that effect shortly before Bruce's father's death. I personaly know that Bir Krishna and Urmila had sexual relations because his mother, Lynn, once told them (in my presence) that they, "should have married." The nature of their relationship was very personal and private and demostrated many times in my view and the view of Urmila's children.
To be honest, this issue is no longer important to me. I have no interest in Bruce, his family or his sexual relations. I am not the genetic child of Bruce. I am only a victim of his and his family's.

Here is an article which I wrote more than 6 years ago in response to an item in the PADA newsletter. At the time, I didn't know that one of Bir Krishna Das Goswami's prize disciples, the headmaster of the local gurukula (boarding school), my son-in-law, the son of one of Srila Prabhupada's personal servants, was being investigated by the ISKCON CPO for allegations of child abuse. This may have been another reason, in addition to trying to insure that my wife not be approved as ISKCON's first female guru, for the bad publicity that was being created by BKG about her: to create a distraction from the CPO investigation.
BKG is duplicitous. He is a pathological liar. He is a childish control freak. He controlled my wife by being in charge of whether or not she was allowed to give class at ISKCON Hillsborough, NC. He also controlled her by being on the board of directors of her "ISKCON School."
When I was on the school board, I tried to get him kicked off because I considered him to be a big embarrassment to the school: a college drop-out and an admitted child abuser! But then he conspired with my wife and the other board members and had me kicked off the board instead!
But that still wasn't enough for him: A few years after I had left North Carolina, he tried to further control my wife by holding out the ultimate poison bait: "Do what I tell you, and I'll make you ISKCON's first female guru!"
In order to get him to approve her guruship nomination, he required her to:
1. ... write an expose on Narayana Maharaja. She agreed on condition that it be anonymous. He promised her that it would be, but when it was published on the old version of Chakra.org, her name was included as the author!
2. ... make a video tape describing (exaggerating, I'm sure) how her husband (me) used to beat her. (See "Pratyatosa Confesses to Being a Wife Beater" - <http://groups.google.com/group/istagosthi/msg/d42b4c50c91079ce>) Again she agreed to do it as long as it was anonymous. Therefore, her face was veiled during the interview. I have never seen the video, but I heard it described by someone who said that it was obvious who was speaking and who she was speaking about (me). This was obviously a trick by BKG. He wanted that video to show the GBC, so that it would insure that her guruship nomination was turned down, because everyone knows that, "A woman who has been abused has mental problems!"
There may have been other things that he required her to do also, but the above 2 are the only ones that I know about.

The IP addresses of subsequent emails which I received directly from
"Krishna Das Patel" indicate that they were sent from the Columbus, Ohio area, and BKG claims that his son is living with his step-father in Ohio, but BKG also claims that he doesn't know the name of his son's step-father, and no one in the Hillsborough, NC devotee community, including BKG himself, has been able to give me BKG's son's email address!

BKG's son (Krishna Jacobs) is currently a plaintiff in a $400 million child abuse lawsuit (http://surrealist.org/05jpgs/complaint_state.pdf) in which his father (Bruce Jacobs) is named as one of the defendants. This case was filed in Dallas, Texas District Court on October 25, 2001, prior to the alleged death threats by his father. Is this a case of witness/victim intimidation? Is the father's claiming that his son has made death threats, and his claiming that the crazy emails from "Krishna Das Patel" (see below) are actually from his son, an attempt to intimidate/discredit a victim/potential witness who was cruelly abused by his father as a helpless child? If it is, then the father (Bruce Jacobs) is guilty of a very serious federal crime (U.S. Code, Title 18, Section 1512: Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant) which is punishable by a hefty fine and up to 10 years in prison!
Let's assume that BKG is right: his son, Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs, is the actual author of the email, and that his son "wants to destroy" his father. Then several questions come to mind:
1. Making death threats across state lines, such as by long distance telephone calls, are serious federal crimes, so why didn't BKG bring the answering machine tapes to his local FBI agent and have his son arrested? ("18 U.S.C. 875(c), which makes the transmission of any communication in interstate and foreign commerce containing a threat to kidnap or injure another, punishable up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000." - http://gsulaw.gsu.edu/lawand/papers/fa02/medlin/)
2. If BKG's son was trying to hide his identity, then why would he change his last name but not his first name? ("Krishna C. Jacobs" to "Krishna Das Patel").
3. If BKG's son was trying to hide his identity, then why, in his "spam" list, did he include his mother's email address?
4. In an email, the Sannyasa Ministry investigator stated, "I contacted one of the devotees that Krishna Das Patel told me would surely confirm that Bir Krishna Maharaja was having an affair with some female devotee. The devotee I contacted told me the exact opposite story, ...that Bir Krishna Maharaja is very strict dealing with women and that the rumor hadn't the slightest truth in it." Why would someone who is trying to "destroy" BKG, name a witness who is on BKG's side?
5. When I emailed Mr. "Patel", and asked him where he got his information, he replied, "The information was inducted from a conversation with your eldest son." When I asked my eldest son, "Why is he saying that?" he replied, "I don't know anything about that." Why would he name a source who doesn't know anything about it?
6. In another email, Mr. "Patel" replied to everything that I wrote, except the following: "Those who have illicit sex with another's wife experience nothing but misery, and are always exposed by Lord Sri Krishna's arrangement eventually. My wife is being well protected by my sons and son-in-law. I know my wife, and she's very chaste. I trust her completely. Besides, she's not that stupid! 'Bearing false witness' is a very great sin. You should be more careful what you say about people." Why did he ignore this portion of my email, but reply to all of the other items in the email?
7. In another email, I stated, "BKG is spreading rumors about my wife in order to prevent her from becoming ISKCON's first female "guru". Mr. "Patel" replied, "This is totally ridiculous. It was BKG who recommended the appointment." Does this sound like someone who wants to "destroy" BKG? (It sounds to me like he is defending BKG!)
8. BKG's son, Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs (kcja...@hotmail.com), in a recent email, wrote, "To be honest, this issue is no longer important to me. I have no interest in Bruce, his family or his sexual relations." In reference to #7 above, how would KCJ know that, "It was BKG who recommended the appointment" [of my wife to be an ISKCON "guru".]
9. Why didn't he include his claim that BKG threatened him with death and that he called the police in order to try and have BKG arrested?
10. Why didn't he say that BKG (Bruce Jacobs) is named as a defendant in a $400 million dollar child abuse lawsuit (http://surrealist.org/05jpgs/complaint_state.pdf) and that BKG's son (Krishna Jacobs) is named as one of the plaintiffs?
11. Why would he give a fake address: "701 Hwy 86", but when he is contacted directly, give an address that makes sense: "RR 6 Box 701", the old way of writing the ISKCON NC temple address?
12. Why would he only include "rumors" that are easy to disprove, such as saying that BKG's alleged secret wife lives at a fake Hillsborough, NC address (701 Hwy 86)?
13. Why didn't he include the well publicized rumor, "Bir Krishna maharaja is found to have a personal and close relationship with an individual who was once an initiated disciple of an Iskcon guru and who now, being 'reinitiated' by Ananta Das Babaji of Radhakunda, propagates in public, disturbing views on Srila Bhaktisidanta Saraswati."? 14. Why didn't he include the well publicized rumor, "Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami, while masquerading as a celibate monk, was caught masturbating by one of his disciples."? (PADA newsletter)
15. Why didn't he include the rumor, "Bir Krishna's disgruntled 'disciple', Maitreya (formerly Bhakta Mark?), claims that he (BKG) made a homosexual pass at him."? (Email to me)
16. Why didn't he say that BKG says one thing to your face and just the opposite behind your back? (In other words, he's a pathological liar and he's duplicitous in his dealings, disqualifications for being an ISKCON "guru", according to the GBC. I have proof of his lying, duplicitous dealings in the form of simultaneous private emails to me and to my wife.)
17. Why would he call himself "Patel", and then put anti-Semitic rhetoric in the email? (When I asked this question of Mr. "Patel", he replied, "This is a fundamental problem of logic nearly universal to ISKCON devotees: You are asking a useless question in an attempt to erase the issue.")
18. How did he know the email addresses of my wife, my children and other members of the Hillsborough, NC devotee community?
19. The relatively short email published on PADA contains 9 spelling errors! Krishna Jacobs' long article (<http://www.harekrsna.org/gbc/black/birkris.htm>), on the other hand, contains only two spelling errors in the portion that he wrote, but the portion which was written by his father has 5 spelling errors! Could this be an indication of who actually wrote the email?
20. Why would he write an email that sounds so crazy, but when he is contacted directly, he replies with an email that agrees with some things, disagrees with others, and that doesn't sound so crazy? (See below.)
I've known BKG for many years and I saw him almost every day when I lived, for 5 years, in the Hillsborough, NC devotee community. He was constantly criticizing, behind their backs, the members of the community, his own "disciples", and the GBC. He would even criticize me to my wife in private, while pretending to be my friend! (I have proof of this in the form of private emails from BKG to my wife.)
Here are two more quotes about BKG by his son:

What is the use of making a show of being a celibate, drug-free vegetarian who doesn't gamble, and who chants 27,648 names of God a day, if that person is a liar? "There is nothing more sinful than untruthfulness. Because of this, mother earth once said, 'I can bear any heavy thing except a person who is a liar'." (Srimad Bhagavatam 8.20.4)
I would be willing to testify in a court of law that Bir Krishna (Bruce Jacobs) is crazy. Anyone who doubts this can simply go to his ISKCON temple property at 1032 Dimmocks Mill Road in Hillsborough and see the crazy way that he's constructed and laid out the buildings there. For years he forced the devotees and guests to leave their shoes out in the rain when they visited the temple room! How many guests' leather shoes were ruined by this insane policy? He's even got the Radha Krishna deities facing West in a building that he built from scratch, just the opposite of the way they are supposed to be facing!
Here's an email that I received recently from one of BKG's "disciples":
"BKG *IS* crazy, and I have also experienced this firsthand. He's a megalomaniac and basically surrounded himself with a bunch of women in his little ashram out there in NC. Any men that were not sufficiently weak or submissive were systematically driven out." (When I sent this quote to Mr. "Patel", he replied "Who wrote this?".)
Perhaps "Krishna Das Patel" is actually BKG's son, like BKG claims, but he and his father are actually co-conspirators! Maybe his father is sending him regular payments. There could also be an element of intimidation/blackmail involved. (BKG says that he has tapes of his son making death threats, but, for some unknown reason, has not sent these tapes to the police in Ohio, where his son resides.) BKG's son, in a recent email denies that he is KDP.
Maybe BKG had one of his fanatical "disciples" fly into the Columbus, Ohio area to send the "Krishna Das Patel" emails from a public library so that his son would be blamed. This theory tends to be bolstered by the fact that the emails from Mr. "Patel" came to an abrupt end on March 23, 2005.
I've gotten onto the Internet at several public libraries in various parts of the country, and none of them check your ID, so it would be very easy to sign in using a fictitious name. Thus even the police would not be able to track down the culprit. By comparing the IP addresses of four different emails from Mr. "Patel", I was able to determine that the emails were probably sent from two different networked computers such as a small public library might have.
Assuming that Bir Krishna Dasa Goswami himself is behind the email published on PADA, what would motivate him to do such an underhanded, dastardly deed? Here are some possible reasons:
1. BKG is desperate to prevent my wife from becoming ISKCON's first female "guru". Therefore he is spreading nasty rumors about her. (At this year's GBC meetings in Mayapura, India, the GBC ruled that women are allowed to be "gurus" (<http://pratyatosa.com/GBCRES/GBCRES2005.htm>). As you may already know, my wife, also a member of the North Carolina devotee community, is a prime candidate. This means that BKG would, if she were approved, have a competing "guru" within his own community, but how can he compete? She has much better knowledge of the shastras (scriptures) than he does. She gives much better classes than he does. Also, rumors of affairs with beautiful, highly qualified women, in the perverted mind of a megalomaniac, might enhance his self-esteem, at the expense of the women and their families. BKG knows that such rumors, unless he's caught being the rumor monger, are not going to cause him to lose his position as "sannyasi"/GBC/"guru", but that they will probably cause my wife to not be "officially approved" as an ISKCON "guru" by the GBC.) When I sent this particular item to Mr. "Patel", he replied, "This is totally ridiculous. It was BKG who recommended the appointment." (Mr. "Patel", have you ever heard of duplicitous dealing/"back stabbing"?)
2. BKG is feeling vengeful toward his son after having lost the court case. (Why, after years of conflict with his father, is Krishna Jacobs suddenly so upset? It should be just the opposite! Krishna Jacobs won the court case! His father lost! The court case is currently being settled out of court with a substantial amount of money going to the plaintiffs, including Krishna Jacobs. The defendants, including his father, Bruce Jacobs, have to pay, in addition to the settlement, all of the legal fees!)
3. BKG is trying to make his son afraid to visit NC for fear of being arrested. (His son is a great embarrassment to him within the devotee community there in Hillsborough because his son is not a Hare Krishna devotee.)
4. BKG put the anti-Jewish rhetoric in the email, not only to try and convince people that his son was the author (His son once claimed to have converted to the Muslim religion.), but also to try and make my wife and her family angry with his son. (Bruce Jacobs is of New York City Jewish background and so is my wife.)
5. BKG is acting out some of his sexual fantasies by spreading rumors that he is having/has had sex with all of these women (Susan, Janavi, my wife, and the woman who drowned)
6. There have been many very negative rumors about BKG over the years, so BKG is using the same technique that the United States government uses to try and hide it's secrets: spreading "disinformation" that is easy to disprove. Then the conspiracy theorists/spies who unknowingly repeat this false information lose their credibility.
7. BKG is feeling vengeful toward me, so he is trying to cause me to become discouraged/depressed/angry with my wife by spreading a rumor that he is having sex with her. (In 1996, I proved to ISKCON investigators that he is a duplicitous liar. In 1997, I got the Turley lawsuit started by contacting them about the ISKCON child abuse. In 1999, I wrote a series of VNN.ORG articles promoting the lawsuit. In 2005, I'm working on starting a second big class action lawsuit against ISKCON/GBC/BBT/BA: I sent my proposal (http://pratyatosa.com/?P=2l) to an ISKCON leader in Mayapura, India during the annual GBC meetings, so perhaps BKG got wind of it.)
8. Assuming that the sender is Krishna Chaitanya Jacobs doing his father's bidding, KCJ is feeling vengeful toward my wife. (KCJ, a few years ago, was courting one of my wife's female students, and she advised her student not to marry him. My wife told me that KCJ was extremely angry with her for causing the female student to break off the relationship.)
For years, BKG lived alone in a cabin in the woods, surrounded by unmarried women, while making a show of being a celibate monk. It's no wonder that he was constantly under a cloud of suspicion! Here is what Srila Prabhupada (ISKCON's founder/spiritual master) has to say about such a situation:
"...the priest or the spiritual master, who are engaged in teaching people about religiosity, he must be perfect, above suspicion." (Lecture in Los Angeles, 12/15/73)
"...when one has to take charge of [an ISKCON] center, he has to become completely above suspicion." (Letter to Brahmananda, 3/12/68)
There are many similar quotes. Srila Prabhupada was obviously very concerned about situations such as this arising within his beloved ISKCON.
