Submission Deadline Extended

Dears,

A number of participants have requested an extension of the planners submission deadline which was originally envisaged for January, 10. We understand that Christmas might not be as productive as initially expected, and also that a few participants had to wait some required software to be installed on the DES system.

Therefore, in the hope of not disturbing those who had their planners up and ready for the original submission deadline, and with the hope that extending the deadline might be helpful to encourage a higher number of participants or to improve the final quality of your planners, we have decided to extend the submission deadline until January, 15.

Please, consider the new submission deadline sharp. No extensions will be allowed.
Moreover, remember that we only accept submissions done by the DES system. Submissions done by email, or that do not follow instructions provided on the website (here) will not be considered.

For maintenance issues, the DES system will be down for about 3 hours from 4pm to 7pm (GMT) the 11th of January. Home dirs will not be affected, i.e. all the stored files will be there after the 3-hours shutdown, but you will not be able to connect during such period.

as often happens while dealing with clusters maintenance, some issues arises. The DES system is currently down; we expect to be back online on Monday morning (GMT). We will keep you updated on this point. An appropriate deadline extension will be given.

finally the DES system is back to life!

Given its unavailability during the weekend, the deadline is extended. The new planner submission deadline is the 17th of January. Please, consider the new submission deadline sharp. No extensions will be allowed (except in the unlikely event of another DES failure).
