Hey guys, today i thought of trying NFSUC (never tried before) looked
at the 950GMA page and that game was on the list...i installed the
game, set it to run under win98 mode...but everytime i start the game,
i get the loading screen followed by profile...and once i chose the
profile it starts loading and suddenly crashes....here's my laptop
specs:

Intel C2D
3GB Ram
Intel 945GMA (Win7 MD)
Vista Home Premium

i get 60-80fps during the loading and profile screen!
what could be the problem...should i get another crack or something?
or am i suppose to use the Vista MD instead of Win7 MD??

Hey Daniel,

I'd definately suggest trying the Vista MD first as they were made
specifically for that OS. But before you do I have heard that this
game has trouble running on dual/quad core processors. Try setting it
to run on 1 core:

1. Start the game
2. Once in the menu hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and start up your task manager
3. Find 'nfs.exe' and right click it
4. Choose 'Set Affinity' and leave one box checked

Hope this helps. Good luck! :D

Nash! thanx for the info...the thing is that i can't even get to the
main menu of the game...just as soon as i select the profile it starts
loading and then crash to desktop?? i'll try reinstalling the vista
driver "though..i noticed performance increase when using the Win7 MD"
and i'll let u know if things went well ;)

Hmm, well there's two things here. It seems to be crashing at the
intro video. Other people have had this problem and apparently the way
to fix it is to locate the file for the intro video and move/relocate
it. This means that when the game tries to access the file it won't be
there so it will skip it and hopefully get you to the menu.

Also, are you running a cracked version? If so then only use a
RELOADED or UNLOADED release as these have successfully bypassed the
protection triggers. Other copies don't seem to work and the DRM will
come into action. I'm not allowed to post any links but they are easy
to find. :)

too bad..coz am using a RELOADED release...though, most of the
comments on the torrent link were positive....so maybe i should try
something else...or maybe move to WIN7??

Well I'm fresh out of ideas... :P I'd always highly recommend Windows
7 over Vista though so you should definately give that a go. :D

i tried installing WIN7 and i ended up with total chaos "maybe i'll
just wait for official release" so i thought of installing WINXP,
installed it with MD and the game didn't even start at all...lol, no
error no NOTHING :( for now am just going to stick with XP till 7
comes out...
