 Urtica ardens Link, Enum. Hort. Berol. 2: 385. 1822.

Closely similar and often confused with U. parviflora but with more robust plant with profuse stinging hairs, leaves with blistered appearance becoming wrinkled when dry, broader leaves, stipules connate with tip not split, margin doubly serrulate.
