The picture is not clear but this appears to be persistent winged
fruiting calyx of Ancistrocladus heyneanus, a climbing shrub. Rgds,

The leaves at the extreme left of the picture looks like
Ancistrocladus heyneanus but the center plant with pink (new leaf?)
looks like some other species with small leaves (like the new leaves
of Syzygium or calophyllum). It doesnt look like fruits.

You mentioned that the plant is a shrub. But, if you are focousing at the red leaved plant, I feel that as a sapling of a tree. If it is a shrub, for sure, please get a picture of single leaf.
 
From this picture it is hard to id.
