Dinesh ji, it is true that two can't be considered as synonyms according to POWO, COL and WFO, but before calling this as A. aegyptiaca, we need to know differences between the two before we decide ID of this.

Referring to the differences that I put in another post, in this posted observation of Ammania aegyptica,
I see sessile cymes;
and the leaf base as sub-cordate, compared to ssp. baccifera which has a attenuate-cuneate base.

Do not get distracted by the Wikipedia image (which may not be correctly identified and may be some Rotala species as per https://efloraofindia.com/efi/rotala/).

Your post is of Ammannia aegyptiaca Willd., if we go by the differences posted by Dinesh ji.

I agree, Mr. Garg. Many images labeled on the net are wrong. Even images in the databases like GBIF, iNaturulist, IFO  and some other 

are wrongly labeled. I have alerted GBIF but they have not corrected it yet.

The image on the page was not updated by me so I have no way of changing it as I don't have a wikipedia account. The person who made the page likely it picked up an old image I had uploaded to Flickr years ago. If you have a wikipedia account, you or anyone else might be able to update the page.
