- Location: The species is found in several districts of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, Dindigul, Nilgiri, Theni, and Tirunelveli. It is present in both the Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats.
- Habitat: It grows as a woody climber in open forests and on hill slopes at altitudes typically between 1,300 and 1,800 meters.
- Flowering and Fruiting: The plant generally flowers and fruits between November and March, or January and May, depending on the specific location.
