Nilgiris: Rubiaceae shrub for identification 150713MK02

Dear all,

Please help me in identifying this large shrub seen as undergrowth in wet forests. I think this could be a Lasianthus sp. of Rubiaceae. Please validate.

Leaf: 15 x 5 cm

Flower: 0.7 cm across; hairy dorsal petals; coriacious (thicker petals)

Fruit: c. 1 cm long

Habitat: Wet evergreen forest

Date: 20 june 2013

Place: Kotagiri, TN

Alt: 2000 m asl
