       A small correction in the Malayalam script.  Kantal or kandal is to be written as കണ്ടല്‍.

        Also Cheru-kantal should be written as ചെറുകണ്ടല്‍.

In both Malayalam and English spellings needs only 'ക' and 'k'. So  kan-duh-LEE-uh -- from Malabar name of the plant, kantal (കണ്ടൽ)

KAN-del -- from Malabar name of the plant, kantal (കണ്ടൽ)

Correct spelling is ചെറുകണ്ടൽ cherukantal  എഴുത്താണികണ്ടൽ ezhuthanikantal  കണ്ടൽ kantal 

Hence no use of 'ക്ക' and 'kk'.
