... Hill covered with semi-evergreen forest
Dear friends, ID please.
Date & time: September 8, 2012 at 3.40pm
Habitat: along forest path; not sure whether planted or growing wild
Altitude: about 3000 ft asl
Habit: herb about 1 m high, flower bud 10 - 12 mm across

I think it may be Gynura bicolor (Roxb. ex Willd.) DC. as per keys at as per efi thread

Thanks very much Saroj ji for suggesting the ID. I too think the plant is closer to G. cusimbua.
Hope we get some validating comments. Until then labelling them accordingly in flickr pages.
