¿ Ischaemum commutatum ?
Place, Altitude: Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary ... about 530 ft asl
Date, Time: 10 OCT 09 ... 01:09pm
Habitat: along path in forest
Habit: small herb; about 1 m high
... only these photos may not help in ID;
I do not recall who gave me the possible ID of Ischaemum commutatum !

It is not Ischaemum. Kindly spread out the spikelets and photograph so that the details are clear. Also approx height of the plant.
