Here is a picture of the leaves alongside the seeds. Would this be helpful for identification?

Definitely a Eucalypt fruit. The fruit with the operculum and screw- head and the leaves are distinctive enough ( though some of the leaves appear to be different - Acacia perhpas). The smell of the leaves often is a clue to the species .
