Dear E. Thiruvengadam,
It is an orchid alright but IDing is like a foto-quiz in absence of
leaves or flowers. Let me post my guess as Aerides dalzelliana.

Yes offcourse this is an orchid.
Could be Smithsonia viridiflora (Dalzell) C.J.Saldanha (syn: Aerides
dalzelliana (Santapau) Garay; Sarcochilus dalzellianus Santapau;
Gastrochilus dalzellianus (Santapau) Santapau & Kopadia), but cant
confirm. May be Shrikant sir can....
wait for few days for the flower to bloom.
