Maybe Corydalis casimiriana, as suggested by you. I am not sure.

I do think this must be covered by the name Corydalis casimiriana subsp. casimiriana.
I think you are confused by the short spur? In fact this is quite like the type specimen.

Long ago I described a more Eastern subspecies (subsp. brachycarpa) with shorter fruit and dark-tipped inner petals, but now I feel I should have recognised this as a distinct species instead.

Thank you Dr. Liden for the correct ID.
Actually I took guidance from the list of A Book on Karnali published by Karnali Province Government
and we have found many sp. during our one month trip which are  not listed in the book.

Yes Dr. Liden, this is also from the same province but on the way to RaRa lake.
Looking at the net images I guess this is close to Corydalis filiformis Royle.

By the way, being inside the National Park I could  not collect the specimen.

May I have your opinion please ?

Thank you.

Hej Saroj,

I take it the new picture is also from West Nepal?
This is Corydalis filiformis Royle or Corydalis calycina Lidén, two very similar species. The latter lacks a basal pouch to the lower petal and has smaller flowers with comparatively larger sepals.

Your photo shows no basal pouch, which suggests C. calycina, but the sepals are not quite as big as they usually are. But check the stigma to be certain (see Flora of Nepal). calycina has 4 apical stipitate papillae, whereas filiformis has 6 (and check Flora of Nepal)

Very informative link! I think your plant is C. calycina, with the truncate outer petals.

Dear Dr. Liden,
I have some confusion . Are both of my posts ( series of DSC.0008.JPG and series of DSC.0527.JPG)
are Corydalis calycina Lidén or two different sp.?

Thank you.

The 1st set has been identified as Corydalis casimiriana and 2nd as Corydalis calycina, by him.
