Arya ji, I think close-up pictures are required for proper Id of a grass.

Would appreciate if you could id the 'grass' in the image - the common name as also the scientific name.  There is some Kans in it.  But, am interested in the one that covers most of the ground.

 in this photo there are several grasses  but if u r talking about the one with white inflorescence then it is Saccharum spontaneum"

Also the closest one seems to be Typha angustata

I too think the request is for Saccarum spontaneum.

May I know any correct book for the identification of grasses in the wild particularly in Hyderabad surrioundings or in Telangana area, any body tell about the books on grasses of wild or forestry grasses ....

With a broader blade and thick midrib it appears to be Saccharum bengalense (syn: S. munja).
