Dear all,

Please help me to identify this Aristolochia sp.

Date/Time-12/04/2011- 09 AM
Location- Place, Altitude, GPS- Assam, Alt 190m
Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- Wild Type
Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- Climber
Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- Leaf 8-12X6-9cm, heart shaped
Inflorescence Type/ Size- as seen in the photos
Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- Yellowish-White,
Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- Not seen
Occurrence: Rare

The plant is looks like Aristolochia tagala Cham. For a comparitive study, please see the attachment files of A. tagala Cham., photographed from Kerala part of Western Ghats.

I agree, the pictures posted by Sujana ji are of typical Aristolochia tagala.
But, Raju ji's plant is not A. tagala. Both flowers and leaves look different here.

The flowers and leaf shape shows a little variation. But with the keys
provided in Fl. China, I could not reach to any conclusion. A perusal
of 'Flora of Assam' could help.

Waiting to know the correct identity.
