Hi Jean,

A couple more things in iLocalize 4.3 build 4623:

1. I'm missing the icons in the top bar for Glossaries and Starting the app. This looks like a Dutch specific thing, but I do not know why.

2. After localizing, iLocalize breaks the signature and refuses to start the app from iLocalize. Only exporting the full app and starting from the Finder works

3. The last change date is written for some apps in the "Open project" dialog, but for most it is not.

I’ll take a look.

Yes, that’s because the Gatekeeper in Mavericks is getting more sensitive to changes to the app and if you are not the developer, it will break. I have to find a workaround if it exists...

Are the projects where the date is missing iLocalize 3 project or older project? If you go in the Finder, do they show a creation/modification date?

Thanks!

Jean

I’m clearly, really not an expert on this, but I *thought* that you could get away with signing the app “except” the Resources folder, which in essence, avoids getting flagged when you add new localizations.

I’m going to look into that, yes. The problem is that I can control what get signed in iLocalize but not for other apps so it will certainly breaks when you localized something else. Not sure if there is a generic way to prevent that… but thanks for your ideas, keep coming :-)

Ok, I uploaded a new version of iLocalize which solves (3). For (1), you need to rebuild ProjectWindow.nib from English (but keep the localized layout) and it will solve the problem. I will need to do that for each language but I don’t have enough time this morning :-(

Thanks!

Jean

Indeed… That’s up to the original developer at this point.

Hi Jean,

This version fixes 3 indeed. In the Finder the modification dates were present all along. Some of the shown projects were old, and (also without dates) were new

I was able to fix 1 myself by rebuilding ProjectWindow.nib / ToolLaunchApp.nib. Unfortunately I ran into something similar for Skype too where the resulting app would not start, until I finally decided to rebuild all 81 nibs. Interesting about that is that would seem that a lot of layout was retained except a few occasions. I know Skype updated most nibs to use auto layout so I suspect this is what saved a lot of hassle for me.

2 remains to be seen. It's a bit weird that iLocalize cannot start the apps, but the Finder can.

Thanks again!

Regards

Alexander
