Hi Jean et al.,

we have finally switched our iCalamus help book format to Apple Help
Book Type 3.
For those of you who aren't yet familiar with its content organization,
the following ASCII diagram may help. It shows an example for an app
with three localized languages:

Old Apple Help Books Type 2:
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/MyHelp/*.htm
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/en.lproj/MyHelp/*.htm
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/fr.lproj/MyHelp/*.htm

New Apple Help Books Type 3:
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/MyApp.help/Contents/Resources/_shared/css/
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/MyApp.help/Contents/Resources/_shared/img/
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/MyApp.help/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/*.htm
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/MyApp.help/Contents/Resources/en.lproj/*.htm
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/MyApp.help/Contents/Resources/fr.lproj/*.htm
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/en.lproj/
MyApp.app/Contents/Resources/fr.lproj/

While the Apple Help Books Type 3 need little more organization, they
have the advantage to save much "weight" in the app when you can share
many files between languages, e.g. screen shots of GUI elements without
language strings, etc.

But - while iLocalize properly imports the stuff firstly, it also
doesn't seem to update the content of the .help bundles.

Maybe this is the same issue as reported before, but maybe the new .help
bundles need more special treatment.
If it is the same issue with the not moved app copy from the Source
folder to the Source/History folder, I'd be done (and more than happy).

I still don't get Help Book contents updated, when I update my iLocalize
project from a new build which definitely comes with new .htm files.

What can I do to trigger this?

That’s strange because iLocalize should be able to treat it like any other embedded bundle (framework, etc). iLocalize itself uses the new .help bundle format and I can translate it without problem. Can you try creating a new project from scratch and see if it detects properly its content?

Yes, I created a new project from scratch, but it seems as if we have
the same issue here - files from the history are exported, even when
they have been updated in the project in the meantime.
